Italy has a variety of weapons and tanks such as the C1 ariete and the Dardo IFV, so why not?

Simple rule for factions in PR: "Factions are made by community for community".

So, if you want Italians in PR, you need to make it.

Reportedly we have Ukrainian, WW2 Russian and Syrian Armed Forces (Assad) then somebody is working on Indonesia. DEVs don't usually start these projects, its usually players from those countries making it. Look into everything from the MOLLE pouches they use to the mags, then you need voice actors.

I am more personally interested in new maps and function changes for increased realism.
