I believe you first need to have a certain amount of posts on your forum profile before you can post a suggestion. Cannot recall the exact number though.

Coincidentally I just found this out as well the number is at least more than 15. Or more specifically I found I could not reply to an existing suggestions thread. The whole thing surprised me and I would agree with Morrislee that the error message is not at all clarifying. More over I would say I think it is stupid and probably some antique relic from the past.
This is where I will try to argue this point and explain my thoughts on it. This isn’t really for myself since I could message in some random threads all over the place to get to the magic number.
Let's start with the fact this system gives the voice to the loudmouths and the spammers. It encourages posting in threads all over the place. Let's say we have two accounts: 1 has been around for 6 months with over a 100 posts. I will be the second example with an account from 2016 with apparently a low number of only 15 posts. I am obviously biased but I am more interested in what the second account has to say compared to the first account.
Without naming names there are some accounts that seem to rack up posts like nobody's business and each and every post of theirs makes me chuckle or shake my head.
My suggestion would be to remove the limit altogether. We are a small enough community where this shouldn’t be an issue. Besides the fact it doesn’t do what it is intended to do anyway. The number of post != knowledge/experience/value. Having more interactions even if it is from less knowledgeable people I don’t think is a bad thing either.
If you want to keep a limit I would suggest making it an account age thing not posts. I will gladly admit the age of an account isn’t a guaranteed quality post either. But I do think an account that has been around for more than a year that hasn’t passed the 25 post limit probably isn’t some toxic spam account laying in wait for its chance. An either/or could be in place as well.
If you do want to keep a limit I would say it should be on making new threads only. Limiting people from replying in existing suggestion threads seems even more harsh and unnecessary.
If you got this far thanks for reading this got me 1 post closer to the magical number. Yay!!
I am sure I will find other threads in the coming days to uselessly post in. To make more progress.
In all seriousness I do hope you end up changing it.

Our moderators decided to remove this limitation. The forum is still auto-moderated as always.
Our forum system is a bit old but if all went well this limitation should now be removed if I did it correctly. Please let me know if not.

Those 100 posts are from people replying one sentence to a conversation that has nothing to do with it. Doing it 100 times. I consolidate what would be more posts into one post, I say everything to answer any questions or quell opposition statements. My posts are always long as hell and formatted to read easy on the eyes. I try to make them mentally stimulating bringing new subjects and factors in. Transpilot is a great example of what you say, half his posts were him flaming me probably because I kicked him from my squad. He felt singled out.Woxbel wrote:Eey,

Yes, but all suggestions still need to be manually approved. If it's unrealistic or been suggested before it will not be approved.Morrislee wrote:So that mean everyone can post in suggestions forum now?(including me?)

How do i know if my suggestion is approved to the forums anyway? I already submitted one but it still hasn't appeared in the suggestion forumNate. wrote:Yes, but all suggestions still need to be manually approved. If it's unrealistic or been suggested before it will not be approved.

You don't get a notification or something. If it not approved then it likely didn't meet the criteria.
