Mumble Problem ? - I can hear everyone talking

Post by george-74 »

Hello

I have a problem I cannot solve.. I can hear everyone talking even if I m in a squad or not I can hear people talking even if they are faraway ... in fact I think that I can hear everyone in my team..

I tried stop and restart mumble , didn't work
I restart PC - didn't work
I check mumble settings and change some parameters , didn't work

This had happened again before some years but now it is impossible to fix it ( and play as well).

It happens in all servers and maps

Any idea please ?

(I m using a wired jack mic and classic PC speakers)

Please help

Perhaps Mumble doesn't have the control over your audio device that it should have. Typically, reinstalling software kicks it back into gear, you should try that first. You can backup files like settings if you need to, but try a fresh reinstall to see if it fixes it. You might consider re-downloading those base installer files, in case something is wrong with the ones you have, too.

After that, if it's still playing hell with your audio devices, you could try going into Windows Control Panel > Sound and for each Playback AND Recording device used, click on them and select Properties, and Select the Advanced Tab and uncheck the box circled below to Disable Exclusive Control:

Do this for each device used, playback (speakers/headset) and recording (microphone)
