Discord hotkey not working while playing PR

This must be the most random issue I have ever had..

I can hear people talking on discord but I cant use my hotkey to open my mic to respond.
I am forced to tab out of the game and then the discord hotkey will work..
This only happens when I play PR and no other games.

Is this common issue? Some messed up settings?
If anyone encountered something similar before pls let me know..

First make sure your Discord hotkey is not in use in PR. Then try to add PR in Discord so it knows when you're playing. In order to add custom game, you have have it running. So, start PR, Alt-Tab to Discord, open User Settings from the cogwheel at bottom left area of the window. Scroll down to Activity Settings, click the "Add it!" link and select prbf2.exe.

Try running discord as administrator. PRBF2.exe has to run as administrator and it does not like to play nice with other programs unless they are also running as admin.
