give squad leader ability to place distant crate/pickup requests

Currently when a squad leader wants to request a crate the map marker shows up directly over the location of the squad leader. this isn't always ideal and doesn't exactly portray where to drop the crates.

Give the squad leader ability to drop a crate request map marker or a pickup request. mechanic similar to a enemy contact marker where the squad leader sets squad objective marker then can place the crate request/pickup "enemy contact" styled marker. (some other color if possible than the general yellow marker)

We could still have the ability to drop the crate request like normal perhaps a Left/Right click option. Left click = Drop crate request where the squad leader stands, Right click places request where the squad leaders attack,defend,look marker is located same mechanic as contact icons.

Just place whatever marker you want.. for example place rally point marker and type in chat that your trans should drop crate there? This is not necessary.

This is a trick that its mostly used by more experienced SLs it works the same way.

It would be a nice addition lm not going to lie, just that small quality of life improvement but ld rather to have the development time to be spent in somewhere else

If you drop a crate someplace you are not at, it can be very possible you won't be able to find it unless there is some indication on the map, or if it is a wide open area.

Air drops are not always accurate.

I've seen this several times on vegetation maps where the helo drops a crate for you and it lands somewhere in a bush where its hard or impossible to find.

It not even 100% that you can always find the crate when just spawning on to some FOBs.
