Option to mute commo rose sounds.
As above, it is very annoying when you're in critical situations and then someone starts using it (effectively suppresing all other sounds...). Option to disable sounds in launcher or something would be welcome.

Where? It can't be voiceover, because I have it set to 0. Is it "music"?Rabbit wrote:there is one.
Is it "Audio cue volume"? But I have it set to 10% and yet this x10 "erm.. REQUESTING SUPPLY DROP AT THIS LOCATION" by a different squadleader who's other side of the map is louder than both mumble and effects sound for me..

Oh wait, my bad I thought you were talking about mumble spam.lao wrote:Where? It can't be voiceover, because I have it set to 0. Is it "music"?

I think I have found the solution. Rather counter intuitive even for a not-so-new player. It's in audio settings of the launcher, you cannot volume up or down, you can switch off officer radio cue.Rabbit wrote:Oh wait, my bad I thought you were talking about mumble spam.

Audio cue is the squawk you hear in mumble when someone talks.lao wrote:I think I have found the solution. Rather counter intuitive even for a not-so-new player. It's in audio settings of the launcher, you cannot volume up or down, you can switch off officer radio cue.

I think it is. There are numerous entries, officer radio messages voicing is what gets on my nerves most, so I named it.VTRaptor wrote:It's not that.

Bump, it's 2023 and commo rose voice still annoys me. It's ok when it's only heard locally, but entire team shouldn't listen it.

I second this, in tense situations where you need to hear footsteps you can mute mumble with a hotkey, but the comma rose cannot be muted.

I think if its possible it would make sense to be able to adjust the volume of other player comm rose though I haven't found it being too intrusive in the past.

Commo rose sounds can be heard by the enemy as well. So, using them might give away your position and ruin your mission. It's just as stupid as pointless shooting. However, fixing stupid players is not somehing devs should try to do. Everyone has right to lose the round for being stupid. It's squad leader's job to keep people silent, and for excessive spamming there is always !report

That's not the point here. The problem we have with it is that your entire team can hear it. We'd like to have some options e.g. mute it completely or turn off team-wide voice messages on client.clueless_noob wrote:Commo rose sounds can be heard by the enemy as well. That's a valid point, I agree. Hearing distance should be similar to local talk in Mumble, and maybe separate channels for radio messages, like target being lazed etc.VTRaptor wrote:That's not the point here. Re: Option to mute commo rose sounds.
This seems like a no brainer feature I wonder why it hasn't been added yet. It's so bad when you get a commander who is trying to help the team by spotting, giving orders etc. and its just ruined by their commo rose spam. Would be a great feature to have as long as you can mute friendly commo rose while still being able to hear enemy comms
