Lately the PR SL community has been a lot more coordinated and willing to work together, but its still hard to coordinate between SQs because:
A) its hard to get your plan across coherently and transmit the idea since you have other stuff in hand, and things never go as planned
B) this SL cooperation is limited to SLs and SQ members have little way to realize it and keep the whole pic in mind
My suggestion would be to make this easier would be allow SLs to mark 1-2 markers maximum with their number that last 5min just like commander can to represent where they are moving. This would turn the general lm attacking from West and you from East more tangible and the SQ members would be able to see it.
This is compared to the current use of rally/objective markers for TRANS and will only be used by regular SLs reducing the spam of markers (and they should only last 5min or so) and would be the first tool for real SQ coordination without a commander (which less be honest its a meme 97% of times)
SL markers like commander markers for joint SQ attacks

Re: SL markers like commander markers for joint SQ attacks
I do like the idea of squad members being able to see the overall plan, because IRL when people plan missions even the lowest ranked soldiers understand the big picture. Still, squad members should be able to follow directions from squad leaders, and squad leaders should be informative about what is happening around the battlefield and keep their squad in the loop. I pass on almost all information I receive over squad comms to my squad, as long as it is something I think they would benefit from knowing.

Re: SL markers like commander markers for joint SQ attacks
I think adding multiple markers would just complicate things in my opinion. Having too many markers just clutters the map and makes things confusing for the players. Spamming markers might also become a problem.
I would even go as far as saying that apart from the commander and squad leaders, the infantrymen don't even really need to know about the details of a larger attack. Just inform that they are going to point X to do carry out task Y and that's enough. I mean that's how things have mostly gone in real life in my experience. Of course you can tell them the details on voice chat if you want to do so.
Perhaps to fix the use of the red circle / rally point for designating LZ, which stays on the map for a long time without the commander removing it, it could be changed to a new LZ marker, which squad leaders could place on the map. It would then automatically disappear after a short period of time, maybe 1 or 2 minutes. Basically enough for the chopper to land the troops and RTB.

Re: SL markers like commander markers for joint SQ attacks
SL objective markers would be nice. Just use the same as the commander markers. “A1” would be objective A squad 1, “A2” objective A squad 2. Although really I feel like this could already be accomplished if the commander just puts down an objective marker and just goes “alright squad 1 your going for alpha, squad 2 you’re going for bravo” which I have seen. Really makes a difference when you have a good commander that marks objectives on the map.
Idk if it’s possible I game, but even better would be implanting some sort of objective text box that comes up in the squad screen somewhere. Just where SLs could write what their squads are doing/going and the whole team can see it on the squad screen. Though I can easily see this being used to troll lol. Would look something like this:
Squad 1: Going to cap flag 1
Squad 2: building super fob in B2
Squad 3: Defending flag 2
Squad 4: rushing flag 3

I was thinking of this idea as well. Having more options for SL to mark will make visualizing and organizing plans easier.Brotherscompany wrote:Lately the PR SL community has been a lot more coordinated and willing to work together, but its still hard to coordinate between SQs because:

Hmm, actually now that I think about this suggestion some more, yellow numbers for each squad that are visible for the entire team seem super useful. I take my previous words back, please implement this devs!

Well, they already marked you down for "no", so...cabalistik wrote:Hmm, actually now that I think about this suggestion some more, yellow numbers for each squad that are visible for the entire team seem super useful. I take my previous words back, please implement this devs!![]()
+1 for this idea as well - color coding the squads makes sense, too, for quick visual reference.
