Kills and Deaths
When I play, if I'm not sure I killed someone... I'll bring up the scoreboard. Especially when I nade someplace or am clearing out a building with a vehicle I'll check it to make sure whoever I was shooting at is dead.
This is dreadfully unrealistic, and takes away the guesswork and tension this mod tries to bring. They should be done away with.

You can't just say "It's unrealistic and needs to go". Suggesting an alternative on the SUGGESTION forums would be good.
Get rid of it and your gonna have half the community up in arms about not knowing how many kills they've made. Keep it, and like you said, we have what is tantemount to an exploit.

Now thats a funny post. You are basically saying that you don't want to know if you killed someone by looking at your score, but then why do you look at your score to see if you killed the guy? I don't do it, well I've done it a few times when I threw a nade to a spot I saw many enemies running to, just to see how many dudes I can get with 1 nade. But you don't have to use it if you don't want to.DuckCommander wrote:When I play, if I'm not sure I killed someone... I'll bring up the scoreboard. /kinda off topic
But yes, it should be taken away, and score should be displayed only at the end of the round. This way no one can whine that they don't get to see their score, and people won't use the score board to check if they killed the guy. I believe there have been a few threads about this, and I'm guessing that something will be done when they have the time to.

I think we are planning to remove the kills, deaths and score in genral from the ingame score board, and basicly just have a "player list" ingame, then when then game is over you can see you kills and deaths on the end game score board.
I "think" that is the long term plan. But it also depends on how much free time slick has to edit the HUD so we can do this

No man, if you want to win, you use ever opurtunity available to you. You don't have to like that that opurtunity is there. But you would be dumb not to use it. If you don't what's to say the enemy won't? Suddenly you've given him the advantage. It's a race to the bottom.mammikoura wrote:Now thats a funny post. Same with M4 whoring. The USMC AT tank sucks major ***, as does (comparitively) the USMC AA. So with the M4, USMC gets an infantry advantage to make up for the mechanized support disadvantage. Seems quite logical to me.
But that doesn't stop me from wishing I didn't have to use these techniques or have them used against me. I can still pursue a game that rewards realism. But in the meantime, I'll do whatever it takes to win.

I don't need to bring up the score board to see if I have killed someone, nor do I need to use the m4 so that I can kill lots of people. I haven't had any trouble winning even though I don't use the scoreboard, and I quite rarely use the m4.
Sure the enemy might use this kinda stuff, but it's their decision. If you really think that looking at the kills from a scoreboard makes you a superior player then do so. But to me it's more about skill and teamwork than looking at the score board.

i think the "board" shall only show the names of the players ingame. and maybe scores at the end of the game. so people can focus on the game more tacticaly. i see when i kill people. they die when i shoot them. if they dont fall to the ground, their maybe bleeding or not harmed at all. please use logical thinking. if the enemy falls to the ground and stays there not moving, their dead.. if they still move.. yes.. they are alive.. i think it will be more realistic in that way. because i have never seen a "board" in real wars. who`s dead or not.
so.. when you play.. stick with your team/squad. help out. kill the enemy, take over the map and finish them. it works in real life. so why not here in PRM?
and i think it will help to see no scores when i see a lot of people complaining of "how do they get so high scores". and stuff. if somebody are afraid of hackers exploit the new type of showing the board, follow them instead. watch what they do. if they are suspicious. report it. and make the admins take a look at it.
i think this will be a great idea for PRM.

I completely disagree with that, I am currently on a mission with LockOn player's to cut shit like this out. There are a couple of exploits one can use for online play which more or less lowers your oponents chance of a kill to zero, its available to me but I will not use it even when someone is clearing using these exploits against me becuase its insanely hipocritical.JP*wasteland.soldier wrote:No man, if you want to win, you use ever opurtunity available to you. The guy that brought you up on your contradictive post was quite right. Take the high ground and just stop using it, if people didn't use it there would be no need to remove it.

I don't know about the moral high ground on this issue.
Checking to see if your long range shot connected is somewhat important but I don't think it rises to the level you describe for "Lock-On".
It is information and it must be used to be as effective as possible.
I like it but I would adapt if it was removed.
