There used to be a summer version of the Yamalia map. It seems to be removed long ago.
Anyone know when it was removed and why?

Maybe perhaps the map itself was pretty much on the northern hemisphere irl. That's why the summer variant removed from my POV.
It's just snows there often even on summer, i suppose.

I'm pretty sure the map is in Siberia. No it does not snow there in the summer.InchPincherToo wrote:Maybe perhaps the map itself was pretty much on the northern hemisphere irl. That's why the summer variant removed from my POV.

Yamalia Summer never existed. It was just Yamalia without snow.

Re: Yamalia summer
I miss Yamalia with the tall grass so much, the paranoia, the camouflage with the trees and tall grass below. Big cap zones to hide in, tall grass for moving through open fields.Mats391 wrote:Yamalia Summer never existed. It was just Yamalia without snow.
The "Rush" technique of IMTs taught in militaries, the 1-5 second sprint, prone, roll/crawl left or right then repeat was perfect for this map. I was sending bullets all over the ground in paranoia when I heard crawling. Flat terrain overall perfect for grazing fire sweep and double sweep.
The trees are harder to use for camouflage when there is snow. Either because the tree models don't have the branches angled downward or the lack of the tall grass. The trees seemed to angle branches up after it was changed to snow.
Snow should weigh branches down and give a little curtain or veil for being under it.
Camouflage has a risk natural risk/reward. Its harder to see and harder to be seen when using camouflage.
