Hi I've never played before and am having trouble.
I successfully installed game I think. When I click on desktop icon it seems to work. then I choose play. It asks me to choose a profile. I made one, choose it and hit play but the game doesn't start and no error messages. I tried downloading DX9 as a couple of other posts had links but it still didn't work after that. I downloaded procdump and made a file but I don't know where to post it.
Any help would be appreciated

Re: Game crashes after i hit play button
Ok, thanks. Support info looks clear. The error message at the end of the file is just a result of the crash.FurBun wrote:Spoiler for \"Support info\":
Because there is no visible problem, we can only do basic checks.
Make sure your antivirus is not blocking prbf2.exe, prlauncher.exe, or the folder where they are installed in.
Set PR to run on Nvidia graphics card by opening Start -> Settings -> System -> Display -> Graphics. Then add desktop app prbf2.exe and set it to high performance with Nvidia GPU.
Disable ASLR by opening Start -> Settings -> Privacy & security -> Windows Security -> Open Windows Security. Then open App & browser control -> Exploit protection settings -> Program settings tab. Add prbf2.exe, press Edit and override and turn off "Mandatory ASLR" and "Bottom-up ASLR".
If any of those didn't help, delete your Documents\Project Reality folder. You have to do Steam login again after that.

Re: Game crashes after i hit play button
Hi I've never played before and am having trouble.
I successfully installed game I think. When I click on desktop icon it seems to work. then I click on play. It asks me to choose a profile. I made one, choose it and hit play and the game seems to start: the screen turns black for a few seconds but then it desappears, come back to the desktop and that s it. nothing.
i already did what bad_nade told FurBun to do, down in the thread, about the graphics and disabling the ASLR but it doesnt do anything.
i am really not that good with computers but i would love to play PR, so any help would be appreciated

Re: Game crashes after i hit play button
If any of the suggested fixes in my previous post didn't help, then my next suggestion is to install latest DirectX Runtime bundle: https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/downloa ... px?id=8109papouk17 wrote:Hi I've never played before and am having trouble.

The file is a self-extracting archive. During the first run you give it a temporary path to where installer is extracted, like C:\Temp. After that, you go to that folder and run DXSETUP.exe
