[R-PUB]s must work on the battlefield too

Post by Batalla35 »

Lately I notice the increase of good and veteran players becoming [R-PUB] ...as I said once in this forums It could be great if this players will make squads in the servers called training...noobsquad...etc..just for teaching the new players how to play and for promoting good manners in PR.... this squads have to be kind of official PR training squads, where all of new players are welcome , of course rest of players in the server have to be kind and facilitate the work of this squads in order to be more friendly with the newcomers ..this is more needed when new versions are launched

...hey Rage!!!! im talking about you!! for example..

agreed. However, there's times when the guys just want to chill out and play as normal. If they play with their [R-PUB] tags, I understand your point. Same as when I play with my [R-DEV] tags on, I end up answering about 40 questions being asked on the server about the mod. Sometimes I enjoy just using another name on a server and being 'invisable' :D

I think its every ones job to do that really ;)

yeah..but this is not the real world...the real world is that we all want to defeat the enemy and we use to join squads with other veterans inside...forgeting about the newcomers...[R-PUB]s have the privileges and honour of having the PR tags on their knicknames? Put them to work If I were the boss of this bunch of lazys [R-PUB]s I will be cheking that in every server a training squad is working......LOL

I'm having a good laugh here now. R@ge, you lazy little ...
;)

Lately I have read quite a lot of posts that say the veterans have to make squads and take care of the new folks. I just want to add to that suggestion that not everybody is comfortable beeing an SL. Does not mean that we can't contribute as a SM and help the new folks from there.

Just my thought on it.

Agreed the Clavd. I prefere not being squad leader myself, just don't trust myself with the responsibility of it.

Really nice suggestion batalla, and i hope we all "veteran" players are trying to help new players with their questions....

I'm not so good explaining things using ingame chat, because i usually don't write English fast enough.... it’s better for me to explain things using VoIP.

Well, on the battlefield, there are also lots of people trying to kill me,
i'm therefore most time focused on telling my team what to do, and not die to much…..

And especially when i have you on the other side batalla.... You are really skilled, and if I’m going to be everyone’s teacher, i would just die all the time...

We all have a responsibility to help newcomers out....

EDIT: i'm still a n00bie batalla.. compare to many others.... That you mention me is great though.....

Rage, of course all of us have to help the new players, but if this help is a kind of "official" everybody in the server will know that this squads are training and we are going abble to identify who is new in the game...and one thing It´s critical for a game like PR...once you have been in a good squad you get trapped by PR...Its a shame to lose some possible players for not having a warm and positive first experience, as I said before , this is more important with new releases like 0.4 was...

LOL, i have never seen you play, or more precisely your use of other names works well.

Recently i have seen most DEV's playing but not you.........tourny man, special "Gaz" and friends server onyl or what??!!?!

I like playing with DEVs becuase you get to know them in a certain way, through just how they play or how they give up so easily, naming no names.........RHino - edjod, where was the commitment!

If you play like your avatar, then I want to be on your squad - oh great leader.

Nice..I move on the battlefield like my avatar..LOL. I regress. FoW is relatively new to PR and we reek of noob BO, that being said, I for one like going up against squads of vets and people who are better than me. Its a challenge for me and my squad, (usually clan-mates). I try to get people in our squad on our ts coz its a distraction when voip is going off and ts is going off at the same time. Everyone is different, some people like to lead, follow etc., and we all have our moods. PR is great because its fluid, meaning that sometimes other squad members (at least for us) take point and give direction. As far as being treated nicely, well cmon' I say grow a chin and tough it out. I get my *** handed to me in this game, and on occassion my *** chewed out for tk'ing, but hey thats part of the game and learning curve. This mod aint for the thin skinned, and if you need to be treated with kid gloves go play vanilla. Just my two cents worth. I think that PR is getting some "unfair" press about the community not being "welcoming" to new players. That is simply untrue, and new players to this mod should put things in perspective.

See everyone on the battlefield.
I apologize in advance for any tk's

Cheers
