Here's the latest update on the map (minus the work I've done on Bastion which is now nearly done). Once I've finished Bastion I'll be doing a lot of final tweaks and detailing while I wait for the final compounds to be completed. And then... its play time If you come to PR CON 2011 you'll get a chance to play test it

The grass is just a placeholder for other crops, although there will be some grass type fields in the final version too. FPS is really good due to months of optimisation work. I've got a bit more optimisation work which will improve things even more but no one who has tested it recently has had serious fps issues, even those with lower end pcs
Whenever I see a blog about Sangin... I get some tissues. Can't wait to play this map, perhaps someone could record the play test? Hearing about the optimization is pure win, as well. Good job and good luck.
Will it have different layers with different factions ? I'd like to play it with marines too.

Having watched the amazingly intense Armadillo documentary recently, I am so very excited for Sangin (FO Armadillo is in Nahri Sarraj, which is just West of the Sangin, so they're quite similar areas).
Those fields are going to be murder to get across and around, I see it now.
