Pretty, I only had a few refs to work with and sometimes it has a different nose-cone than the one I've modelled.Hurricane;bt10421 wrote:Just how obscure is #10? I've been looking at various warheads for about an hour now and I didn't find shit.
I'll give you another clue thou, it is not a HEAT, Tandem HEAT, Fragmentation, Airburst or Thermobaric round, it is something else

Close enough, its the KO-7M HEDP Polish RPG-7 Warhead, and ye, it sometimes has a pointy nose but had better refs of the "cola can" setup and thought it looked more uniqueHurricane;bt10431 wrote:KO-7(v)???
Looks different on pictures (so probably not) but its closest to HEDP as it is described as HEAT FRAG.

Now to work out who got the most guesses and to award them that special e-cookie
EDIT: looks like KSVM_UA_ and domah2 are the joint winners, with also ExeTick coming runner up and are all going to have to share this plate of e-cookies:

Well done to the rest of you too!

In r/l "when the warhead strikes the ground, it is propelled upwards by a jump mechanism, and detonates at a height of approximately 2 metres. Somewhere in the region of 800 steel balls and fragments of the case are propelled outwards, giving the warhead a lethal radius of 15m."SShadowFox;bt10446 wrote:How is the airburst warhead going to work? Really looking forward to it.
You can see it in action in this video here and if you look closely you will see it hits the ground first, kicking up loads of dust then explodes in the air:

How it works ingame however is anouther matter and something we are still working on, as our intial theroy of how we planned to get this to work with a similar effect of how it works in r/l, didn't work and instead we are exploring other options but hopefully we will get it to explode in the air above where it hits the ground in a similar way to how it works in r/l, otherwise there are a couple of fall-back options but these are if everything else fails
