How to make PR not switch between monitor modes

I am playing on a VG259Q monitor that runs at 1920x1080 144 Ghz and every time I start the game my monitor goes off for 3 seconds and then turns on again. This is probably due to the fact that Project Reality uses an outdated engine. But 144 hertz is supported in the game. The only thing that bothers me is the constant switching of the monitor mode, its constant restart when logging into the game. I would like something like fullscreen mode in window if possible.

Set the desired Display Mode in PR Launcher -> Options -> Video tab. Note that many settings are saved separately for each of your profiles, so select the correct profile from the drop-down menu first.

The game engine running PR is too old for supporting borderless fullscreen.
