Hello,
I have my mic volume set to 100%, but I'm still having trouble hearing others clearly. I’d prefer not to lower my game volume below 25-30%.

Mumble and PR are separate processes. It means you can adjust their volumes independently of each other in Windows Audio Mixer, which, in turn, can be done with tools like AutoHotkey. This is an old forum post on the subject but the general principle still works: viewtopic.php?t=119843caseywilliam wrote: 2025-11-24 10:20 Hello,

I have upgraded my version to AutoHotkey v2 syntax and replaced nircmd.exe with a newer and more flexible SoundVolumeView.exe but I still use the same Win+1 to Win+4 keys to adjust volume.

In the launcher of PR, but also now regular setting if you go to mumble keybinds and controls..
I have ] and \ just below back space set as my volume up and volume down for comms. Be warned if you try to set a mute comms speakers button, because it will glitch out and get stuck muting everyone.
It won't unmute people, so just use mumble volume buttons.
When you are alone or last man, it really helps to shut off the radio completely to hear footsteps. But also if you need to turn volume all the way up for armor and helicopters.
All the talking by dead people who were no help to you before, imagine you are SL last person alive and your guys lack the intelligence to realize you are still fighting.
Allows for undistracted playing dead, climbing trees or just full focus of senses. I get more kills when no radio comms are on.

1 Man per piece of cover, Move cover to cover. In view of each other to save each other by shooting, distraction, division of enemy attention and ammo. 1 man hit per RPG/tank shell/mortar spread formation full time. Edge of cap zone. Use camouflage, police up each others exposure, no man seen sticking out. Scan aggressively with eyes and ears for anything suspect, even for birds disturbed to fly out of trees
