Gaza Outdated?

Post by Sgt.Negev »

Hi,
I'm bringing this topic here after discussing it in-game; and it's to remodule the current Gaza map to bring it closer to the battlefield scenery it's aimed to depect, escpecially as the world became deeply familiar with this conflict follwing October 7th and through the past two years.

Image

WE NEED RUINS! A LOT OF RUINS!

the current Gaza map generally projects a coastal mediterranean town. although dense, yet with slate clean infrastructure and without any sign of excessive bombing or ruins or even a tiny tunnel web to simulate the unique combat challenges in such warzone.

Kafr Halab is the New Gaza?

I did find certain parts of Kafr Halab to highly simulate the real world Gaza battlefield (specifically the city itself and it's northern suberb with it's unique ruins) in matter fact, I find Kafr Halab to be closer to simulating Gaza than the current sunny Gaza map we're using.

I find it crucial to consider the Gaza map in any future updates because of the potential of boosting the realism of the map and the in-game combat dynamic which currently feels to myself and to some of my peers as somewhat outdated. your attention to this is appreciated.

Cheers

I support your idea. A year ago, I expressed a similar view on Discord, but people thought there was no need for a new Gaza. Although the real Gaza has a lot of ruins, only the Gaza of 2009 is needed. So it won't change.
To be honest, I can make maps and create some ruins models. But without using New Gaza, it's meaningless and I won't invest in it.

I have always wanted a 2km or 4km Gaza strip to allow for larger-scale battles. The IDF only has an INS map of Gaza. And in the game, the IDF never fights with Syria, but often fights with the MEC.

I think Gaza would need to be made from scratch, along with Ramiel. If you'd like to make new statics for it, I could look into it.

I have already created some buildings, but they are designed for the Asian map. Since there is currently no clear plan for Gaza, I haven't created any Middle Eastern architectural ruins. Unless someone decisive organizes everything.

Just bring back Retro Gaza as "Gaza South" and current Gaza as "Gaza North", it will be a new map for new players. Give the current Gaza a rubble version, same building spots, just replace it with Grozny style rubble with a lighter more tan texture.

Spill it onto the streets, all the rubble.

Also Gaza could use a tunnel system under it. Very elaborate with multiple hidden entrances. Say from insurgent main base to the Mike 9 and J6 area. There is already very underground access but its blocked/not built.
1 Man per piece of cover, Move cover to cover. In view of each other to save each other by shooting, distraction, division of enemy attention and ammo. 1 man hit per RPG/tank shell/mortar spread formation full time. Edge of cap zone. Use camouflage, police up each others exposure, no man seen sticking out. Scan aggressively with eyes and ears for anything suspect, even for birds disturbed to fly out of trees

Gaza needs to be updated, if not redesigned entirely, because the map seems honestly stale in my opinion and if its too hard to make a new map (which probably it is the case) add tunnels because hammas and other organizations made them to counter Israeli operations. :?:

A 4km Gaza strip map would be a cool edition to the game cause CAS could be introduced and hammas could get new exclusive vehicles, paired together with the tunnels it would balance out IDFs CAS. :!:
I just like PR and am interested in how the game thrives. (Also i like guitar and metal 8) )
