diff btwn single / auto

Post by {XG} non_compliance »

Someone posed a question in the locked thread.. I thought it would be cool to find out the answer.

Is there any difference between firing single shots in auto mode and firing single shots in single mode? Accuracy wise that is.. I 99% of the time play in full auto mode (or burst) and I wonder if it hurts my accuracy on long shots... actually most of the time on long shots I"m taking 2-3 round bursts anyway...especially at moving targets...

Just curious.. thanks.

it is a hell of a lot easier to control fire in single than in auto and burst it is not possible to fire single rounds.

in my opinion it is more likelyand easier to hit and kill a target from long range using full, not burst though. Id rank single for extreme long range, auto for long to medium, and burst for close to medium shots.

I want to witness you firing full auto at people in the next patch. I hear that they are fixing the full auto recoil, which means increase in my book. With those tactics and a real long range shot (400-500 which rarely happens but it does sometimes) i want to see you get a kill. If you do ill kiss your boots (as long as you dont smear poo all over them prior to this).

I think non compilance wanted to know if single mode = single shot on full auto wise accuracy. I wonder that too. If auto is less accurate if it is from first bullet, or from next ones. f.e. single shot accuracy = 3, full auto = 1 (in code), so single shots in auto will be always 3 times less accurate then in single mode. Any devs to answer that?

I sometimes find myself doing that as well (quick single shots in full auto mode), and wonder if they are any different.

The difference I find is that auto and single do damage. I have found endless times that burst fire never registers its hits. I was playing this evening and I put 15 rounds count them, 15 rounds, that's 5 bursts and the guy just ran up to me with a knife and stabbed me. So my advice would be to stay away from burst, it sucks. Nothing the PR guys can do about it though sadly.

If using the M4; auto everything. :? ??:
