Para Model

Post by .:iGi:. Sidd77 »

Have you guys got any plans to bring a paratroop model into PR? and if you do would you replace the spec ops kit? i can remember someone saying "you rarely see spec ops supporting other troops in real life battlegrounds."

they instead train, fight alongside newly established army units such as the case in afghanistan so wouldnt creating a new model such as the para be more realistic since you see paratroops supporting army units in missions, capturing or holding key postions and then to be releaved by Marines.

I hope its taken into consideration.

In lieu of aircraft in game, You could place para only spawn points on maps like some bf2SF maps have.

This paratroop idea sounds good, but (you were expecting me to leave it as is :mrgreen :? ) when playing AAS you must capture bases in certain order. A paratrooper drops behind enemy lines, but would be useless because he would have to move back to the current objective. That is when I thought of this. How about making it that Spec Ops or Paratroopers, could get alternative flags to capture. That way they could land behind enemy lines and stealthfully capture a different flag. As for if the engine will allow it I have no clue. Doing that would increase realism, because now some other cp's would need a squad or two defending them instead of having one or two squads attacking and everyone else defending (or the other way around). To balance out the Spec Ops/Paratrooper, capturing cp behind the current objective, they would take the flag at a slower rate then the "normal" kits.

There was talk of a new AAS system allowing the next flag in line to be grayed out before the current flag was captured so that would fit right in with the para drop.
But are they goin to be paratroopers or HALO droppers ?
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

You can already do HALO drops have a SL as a pilot of a blackhawk or those big chunky choppers the PLA, MEC have get it to a good alt and circle over the flag... thing is anybody wishing to do it would have to be a para or as it is now spec ops.
