im not sure what to make of this it will be cool if they do it like

Seal Assault
Seal Medic
Seal assault

or there gonna mix the different SF units on one maps that would make it more like CS then BF but other than that it sounds really cool

IGNPC: What are the new armies included in the expansion?

Yee: Well, there's the Navy Seals, British SAS, Russian Spetznaz, MEC Special Forces and two insurgent groups, one of which is based on the MEC and one which will have Russian roots.

IGNPC: Are you planning any big changes to the classes or will they also pretty much remain the same aside from some new equipment?

AJ: We've decided to leave the classes alone, but your going to find that what we've added does change things up a bit. It's something we joke about now when we talk about making the player feel like a super soldier. We'll go ahead and test Special Forces and then go back and play BF2 for our own enjoyment and we're suddenly saying "damn I don't have that!" or "damn I can't do this!" and we miss those abilities that are in Special Forces.

Although we haven't really tweaked the classes at all, by adding in the new elements like the grappling hook and zip line that David mentioned, now the classes that carry these items play a little differently. They have a bit more versatility to them. So now you really want to have these guys as part of your squad. And the squad becomes more powerful as a whole now.

im starting to think they might have been smarter than we gave them credit for smarter and ....... greedier (if thats a word)

maybe they deliberately cut some of the "eye candy" from bf2 (ie. laser designating, fast roping so on) so that they could spice up future expansions

Its free right? I bet thats the reason they haven't released the SDK, they want people to buy their mods. I wasted my money on the Road to Rome and am not spending anymore money on EA games expansions. The only reason I might buy it is if they included the Rangers and USMC Recon or Force Recon.

I may not get it because of an odd BF buying pattern I seem to have:

Bought BF42, skipped RTR, bought SWoWW2, skipped BFV, bought BF2...

Dammit EA! This is bordering to the moronic. They haven't even fixed any of the issues with the original game, and they are already planning expansion packs? I bet the first expansion for BF3 will be out before the actual game.

Or they pull a Sims, and begin releasing a new Expack every month, with a minimum amount of changes in each.

i hereby appeal to everyone to punish ea for taking out all the eye candy and putting it in an expensive expansion by not buying it and downloading pr instead! pr will be more fun, and for free. ea have to learn the hard way.

If you want to add something then feel free. We need to drum it into their heads that we dont blindly buy anything the try to sell to us!

Not wasting my money on a expansion pack when there will be PR/FH2 and other great mods.

But then again, when will ea release the tools? (:{

Isn't PR going to have both of those, and play better, and be free?
