What about OCS? (officers Candidate School) Train from top down as well as from the grunt level.
We have a lot of great Squad leaders and commanders, but we're forgetting commander/squad leader cross comm. training. One of the biggest gripes I have, maneuvering with my squad only to encounter a friendly squad with friendly fire.
Commanders should always use voip (but most don't) to separate squads or at least inform squad leaders on friendly positions, to coordinate attacks or to best use defensive assets. To make that a standard mode of operation it takes intraplayer type training.
I hate to build something elitist but after a few hours training those members (squad leaders and commanders alike) could set up squads with an *PR next to the squad name like Alpha*PR, Bravo*PR etc to indicate tactical trained squad leaders (or at least Squad leaders willing to cooperate with the commander). Commanders could be recruited out of the ranks of *PR squads.
Servers could indicate *PR friendly server. I believe playing in those squads and servers would boost new players learning curve dramatically.

yup. just select a team and the admins will make sure the numbers are balanced and put you in a team. I wont shit you, the tourney does take up quite a bit of time, but the amount of team work and actual military strats makes the tourney scarely enjoyable!

On the off-topic training theme:
Seem like a great idea. I've been playing for a while and know the ropes of combat, and like many i learned from being in well organised squads and picking up form them, many were really helpful when they found out I was new. Having a specific squad for new players to join to be helped by experienced players would be great.
Also, the vets could pick up a few tips off each other and become better players themsleves. I know I'm only an average squad leader and I'm still trying to learn from people who seem to be better than me.

More like 150-170 for me in the UK and i'm on a good connection. I find that too be too much. 120 is about the most I can get away with.00SoldierofFortune00 wrote:Pretty much. ARRC is US/British and RFAD is MEC/China.
The server is pretty much a carbon copy of GloryHoundz East, so US guys will get good ping and Uk players will get around 100 depending on connection etc etc. Just sign up and read the tournament forums guys.

Really depends on the person. For some, they can get that low, or others not the case. Also depends on if the other server if up and if no one is getting lag..:iGi:.U.G.H. wrote:More like 150-170 for me in the UK and i'm on a good connection.
