It'd be really appreciated.
Ive been looking at PR and it looks amazing but I have a few questions.
How many servers are there? Will i ever have a hard time finding a game to get into and play?
Teamwork- People say it's a huge thing, but really, is it? I mean, are there chopper whores and people who just sit there all game doing nothing for the team?
VOIP- Is it commonly used? I'd love to see that!
And finally- Tactics, do people actually use legit strategies such as ambushes and flanking and stuff.
Thanks guys!

Yeah, I've never had a problem finding a good game - there are always a few populated servers.

Of course, in any game there will be people who don't want to play as a team. But they're a lot rarer in PR than in vanilla. Particularly if you find a good server. There's also often a squad using VOIP.

Near 100, usually 3 near full ones, 5 half full, and some more with a couple of guys on.

No chopper whores, yes this is actually about teamwork.

VOIP is used, also teamspeak

Defiantly, I do flanking maneuvers all the time with squads, and ambushes are also used.

Play the game, you wont regret time spent on it. Speaking of ambushes, I just did a couple unsuspected ambushes on ghost train map last night. Support gun I had, sneaking through the tall grass alone with squad mates around. Came upon a squad of brits, waited for the right timing and opened up with machine gun fire and tracers blazing everywhere. Then threw a nade in to make sure they were dead. Same for the other ambush, they are real fun.

just yesterday I was playing on a MEC vs. US map (forgot its name, but it's where US had a carrier and had to take West Beach, East Beach, Bridge, Dam, etc.), and my squad ambushed the US forces between the bridge and the dam. we had 2 AT, 2 medic, 1 assault, and 1 sniper. basically we stopped them from moving to the dam for most of the round. Of course we were eventually flanked by their littlebird, which flew behind us and dropped a couple of guys without us noticing.

so my point, it's pretty team-oriented and every game has at least 1 teamwork squad.

My estimate is there are about 30 + servers and usually about 7 are populated (5 or more players)

Yes there is much improved teamplay. Squads stick together and work hard more.
VOIP- Is it commonly used? I'd love to see that!
as a matter of fact yes. It is used more often, as far as ive oplayed 7.10 of the squads i joined had voip. Some may be viop in different languages. I encountered a squad that was using voip speaking arabic. Neat aint it?

Yes better tactics involved. Cant explain why, but its better than all the spamming adn whoring in normal bf2. Well there is very minimum amount of that.

I'd love to see more people using VoIP...
If you want real teamplay, play late!
The later the better, when the kids are asleep.
Then you get some great battles!

I have never seen VOIP used in this.

I love it when people make squads called VOIP or MIC ONLY and no-one speaks :D

Voip is half the fun, cracking jokes, groaning in disbelief, sharing camaraderie "the rest of the team haven't got their nuts screwed on tight tonight!"

As regards to the servers with only a few players on them, if a few more players decide to start populating other servers then they will automatically shift up the server browser when people sort the servers into ones with the most players on. Go get out there and share yourself around a bit and play with some fresh people you haven't played against before (or much) You never know, you might learn some new tricks that you haven't thought of before to take into other servers and have a scream.

Playing the same server, the same maps, the same players can only shorten the games life in your sub consciousness. Sharing yourself around a bit is good for yourself and the community!

Squads using VoIP right are always on top of the scoreboard.

the viop squad is also where you can most often hear this statement " Are the other squads even doing anything ?? "
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

And this statement is unfortunately true often enough...
