Reality Mod with Instaproning??????
Alright, so far I love the mod, everything about it. You guys did a great job and i'm sure a lot of effort went into it, and I personally think this is far better then the original bf2.
Anyway, my only problem with the game is "instaproning" or when people still run around the corner, hit they "z" key and while flying the air unload at me.
I mean, in real life, wouldn't, even if you did start shooting, you'd be so innacurate you probably shoot yourself in the head? Once you got on the ground, it be another second or 2 before you grabbed your gun and could accurately aim it again.
So basically when you go into prone from any position, their should be another delay, like when you are going from prone to crouching/standing up, or atleast a huge accuracy deviation and you can't scope in to make yourself more accurate.
And in regards to another poster about the problem with the support weapons, you could then beef up the accuracy a little of support weapons in prone because then you would actually have to think about going into prone before combat, instead of what it is now, the "who can hit the z key the fastest" reflex button.
sorry for the rant, but its just my 2 cents. thanks anybody who reads.

welcome to the forums.
'instanproning' despite efforts to stop it, seems to be 'hardcoded'
That means its something that is basically 'locked' and impossible to change from the origional game. There are people attempting to get rid if it, because its very unrealistic, but it is not definate that it will be fixable.
anyway, this has been talked about alot, the general thing to do is use the search tool on the forums for topics already discusssed.
I hope you enjoy the mod even without this, most players tend not to use this exploit in game anyway, so 'keep it real' ye?

Welcome to Reality.
Pronespamming, instaprone: call it what you will. It's my personal bugbear & although there's some great ideas as to how to get round it, it's not away yet.
As duckhunt said, most "respectable" (I use this term loosley
) players don't do it.
It's naughty!

Welcome to the forums --and the rant lol--
It has been brought up many times before...unfortunately it's a hardcoded feature --its within the BF2 source code owned by DICE-- and cannot be changed. They have the power to change it though...and they did try...they just got it backwards lol T.T
Next time, remember to use the search button at the top of the forums
Locked.
