Field Dressing problem
The majority of the time when I drop this then stand/crouch over it nothing happens! It doesn't stop the bleeding like it's meant to then I enjoy a nice needless, slow, annoying death.
Why?
Why?

I get it to work, however I have noticed that as rifleman you can reload the bandage from a kit bag you've thrown on the floor and then throw another bandage down, for it to work maybe 50% of the time maximum.

I think the fact that it is self-administered field dressing is why you aren't able to heal up all the time. I mean if you just took 2 rounds to the chest, throwing some bandages on it isn't going to stop the bleeding...
I think it's one of the most realistic parts of this mod! It buys you some time for a real medic to get to you if you're really messed up.

with the same principle using a defibrillator after getting 2 rounds in the chest would do nothing.Howlin' Jack wrote:I think the fact that it is self-administered field dressing is why you aren't able to heal up all the time. thats right, throw it infront of you.
you'll see 2 packs, one sinking into the ground and one staying on the ground.
wait 2 or 3 seconds, then walk or crouch over it.
Sometimes the healing sign (+) will show and other times it won't.
Sometimes you may haveto use more than one. (i once had to use 5 to stop bleeding)

you only get one chance to use it thoughEl_Vikingo wrote:thats right, throw it infront of you.

^ thats usually the reason y it doesnt workjackal22 wrote:i have the same problem some times, only use it on solid ground. the bandage has a tendence to sink through the ground if you chuck it on some wood or some other objct between you and the earth making it impossible to heal your self.
also when im on a bit of health, i chuck the badge down, the icon appears w/ the sound but i still bleed and then die
tht happened to any1

It only gives you a small amount of health, if your totally wasted it just extends your life for a while till you can snag a medic. Walk over it in a crouch back and forth to get it to react instead of standing still over it. Don't forget to offer yours to a squadmate if he needs an extra, each life lost is a ticket lost for your team.

Its fine how it is. What does need to change is the fact that they sometimes fall through floors in buildings and almoast anywhere on USMC carriers.
Oh, and the little medical sign that comes up, allowing yo to rush an enemy at the right time.

i think this is actually a vbf2 engine cliping issue, happens sometimes with ammobags too - dont think that the devs could fix that
