Let's just say that if we get killed by a gun, it's better to get hit by a bullet than M4 flechettes.

*looks around*

No. Its rubbish. 14.5" Armashites FTL.

*Runs*
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

it's probably the most common weapon for special forces. They use it because it absolutely sucks.

But they are doing something to it in 0.5, probably increasing recoil.

I'd still want an M16 in real life. Full sized assault rifles scare people more. M4 looks like a toy. Especially when it has all those gizmo's all over it.

I love the gizmo's!

Who doesn't need a laser, torch, scope, coffee bean dispenser and a portable stove attached via RIS.

it´s basically an m16 with full auto and a shorter barrel (=carbine) made for mout and close quarter combat, it is not really much stronger than a m16 and has less range - so no it is not that good in real life

yeah, full auto isn't that usefull. But it's lighter, as you mentioned shorter barrel so it's not so bulky. Also the effective range is like 350 meters, so thats more than enough for urban combat and stuff like that. Also because of the SOPMOD kit it's a very versatile weapon.

In any urban/close combat situations you would want a m4 instead of a m16. But at longer ranges the m16 would be better.

I don't know how people can say it's not as good as an M16 etc.

It does it's job better than the M16 and the M16 does it's job better than the M4.

i.e you won't get SWAT teams storming a building with an M16 etc

LOL seen the tracers on the M4? With that added, it looks like a bloody light gun for PS2.

I only use it when i do Halo Drops with an intellignt squad. However, when i rinse a clip, i will go to the pistol without hesetation.

I say, the M4 on single shot needs to be a little less accurate. I say, using the weapon on fully auto should be reverted to the .32 model.

...mongol...(.32M4 FTW!!!1)

Don't you get tired of writing ...mongol... after every post, I mean, we can see your name about 2 inches above that, it's not like we're gonna forget in two secs.
