Comparing ArmA with PR (BF2) is a big no-no.

That wasn't aimed specifically at you, but for everyone who always wants complicated changes.

Go F yourself with that answer...and by F, I mean do so literally not symbolically. Thank you very much.

'[R-DEV wrote:Rhino']they are going to stay in as they bring teamwork to the mod and they are crucial to keep your spawn times down.

they just simulate a medic helping someone on the field ;)
Copy that. I guess I'm just saying perhaps something could be swapped with the defib kit then that is more appropriate to what the medic is doing. Like bandages with a wrapping motion or a shot or something.

healing

Get rid of the paddles
Instead, have the medic mumble some words. SLAP the wounded man on the forehead and declare " You are healed " in a very loud voice.

And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

Or, this would take a loooooooooong time to do, but make it so that medics don't get the defib's and are like a frontline troop but with the medic bag to heal minor injuries. Then at the base of operations for both teams there is a medical triage center. That is where critically wounded people would/could be taken to get revived. There could be medical ambulences, with no weapons, and blackhawks with no guns but with red cross's on them to symbolize evac stations. Once taken inside of the vehicle the counter for being critically wounded would stop and you would be in the coughing bleeding state (maybe without the psycopathical coughing) and once brought to the triage center, you are instantley healed.

Now I'm sure your saying that; "well it would be just quicker to die" However if its a long round and you've died 15 times that makes your spawn time 45 seconds (30 for respawn plus the extra seconds that you have died) not counting the critically wounded time. By getting evac you may/may not have to wait as long, and you don't get another second added onto your respawn. To make it possible the other team would get punished for destroying medical choppers/trucks, because they are mercy vehicles with no weapons.

So there you go another long and probably flamed idea (I know it has been mentioned before I just went into a very long detail) by none other then Bodybag. :)

I think that instead of it the Defibrilator should take longer to use to signify that the medic is doing something and not just zapping them in the chest. That shouldn't be hard to code right?

well, right now you´re supposed to heal them, but with a defibrilator, you basically just bump them on someones chest in real life ^^

we do have other, more important things that we need to put our time in that effect gameplay like coding the brit landrover ingame and not replace what is already there just so it looks more realistic...

IE, we waint planning on replacing the defibrillators any time soon.

If the typical 1960 male saw us playing wargames on a computer instead of chasing ladies, he'd think we were all megafags.
