In the city of Kristiansand (where I live; it's in the southern part of the country) we had about 5 degrees Celsius, ice-cold rain and strong wind.

hm. maybe a bit late for me to wish everyone a happy new year, or godt nyttår. as we say in norway. i celebrated new years eve with Guerra Norte in the old viking city Trondheim(middle age name was Nidaros.. i like this name better ;P ) 3 degrees celsius. no wind at all. no clouds before all those firecrackers made it all foggy. and for the first time at new years eve, i was sober.

On new years eve? We had a couple of degrees on the plus side, and raining cats and dogs, with a strong wind that would knock you over. I waited untill 6 in the morning before I just gave up and called a taxi to take me home.

People make fun of me when I go outside and I look like Han Solo in the opening scenes of "Empire Strikes Back". The planet may be called Hoth - that is what I am - hot - in my extremely big jacket. Who's laughing now!
