I'd like see the brazilian army on PR. Im saying it as a brazilian, but sincerely put our army on PR is not a good idea. The most party of PR players dont know us and our army. And then, its needed do researchs, models, textures, voices and a lot of things. If the PR team is planning add a new army, I think the russian is better now.

We have a great battle historic and unhappyly the most part of the world dont know it (and why do they need it?! =P). In nowdays, we are specialized in jungle tatics and here is my advise, never support the idea of invade Brazil, it will be worse than Vietnam, but hope it never comes happen.

I don't wanna turn this into political discussion, and I don't think that was the goal of this thread.

As said before, Brazil has given support to Haiti right now.
The only thing is that as a pacific country, we only envolve ourselves in peace-keeping operations. I don't wanna offend or criticize any American or British, but unfortunatelly for the soldiers (that many times have an ideal), the image of this countries in foreign people is not so good when it comes to politics. Why? Because it's obvious US invaded Iraq not for the mass destruction weapons nor to make a democracy. That was second plan. The main goal is to have a partner, a controled country (I'm not asking you to agree with this, sorry if this statement hurts anybody's feelings).
What I mean is, when does the high-tech army countries engage in a conflict where they don't have anything to win? What about Ruanda? What about Africa even these days? I mean, what makes sort of a bad image is that this countries have the power to stop a genocide, they have the power to interfeer, but they don't do it if not convenient. Something we as a peacefull country did in Haiti.

Like I said about the mod, if it ever happens, I hope it's a minimod so that only people who wanna play with the brazilian army can do that, and not all are obligated to.

Now, I'm quite sure brazilian army can't beat US or GB in any circunstances if you're talking about equipment. I think some comments were reasonable, you can't say a AMX Super Tucano is high-tech or would ever shut down a F-16. But anyway it would be pointless for Brazil to have such a plane as a F16 since we don't envolve in wars that count with this kind of air support.
That's why I say it would only make sense with a country like Bolivia or so.

Thx, didn't know about Sierra Leone or kenya. I know F16 are outdated, that's why I mentioned them. Even those are better than a AMX if you're talking about technology, it's something obvious.

and yeah our police sucks. Actually it's not even the police itself, it's the government that is involved in opening paths for the bad guys to get ahold of those guns. Of course they mostly come from former equipment used in foreign countries wars, but cash rules the world.

The PR staff considered too seriously my offer, i didn't expect that you will really add the Brazilian army to the mod in fact, i just want to offer a favor, as I'm only a novice programmer (without sufficient experience to help the project) that seemed to only way to help, thanks for the consideration anyway.
My purposes is not secret Venom, i have a PBF (play by forum) RPG and i needed some 40mm Grenade Rounds case images to the weapons shop.
hey robbo what you think that have changed from the WWII? (in talking about the people not about the technology). Anyway if we live long enough to see any country try to invade Brazil (they really made a bad choice), you will see, not but a army fight but a civilian hard resistance too, it will be 145KK of people free or 145KK of people dead. But i think that an invasion will never occur due to Brazil peace nature, in other words, you'll never see that. Or maybe the USA want to invade us due to our "biological weapons" (natural water resources), as they goes to Iraq after the "black gold".
About a new army add (if will have), the Russian (or some ex-soviet country) army will be a nice add, as suggested before.
And I've a new suggestion: contact EA or DICE, offer the mod, as a quality mod they may want to add it to an future coming expansion pack, or create a new expansion pack exclusively for it who knows? Anyway it a nice add to the game, i think that it is more that sufficiently good to a expansion pack. (EA staff: What? someone offering a free add-on to one of my games? YES let my create a new expansion pack a earn more money ^^)
