What war is this mod based on?

Well, remember that canada is a commonwealth Country, and if The Queen instructs the Governor General to activate its troops, Im fairly sure they will comply. Similar to WW2, even though we are MUCH more independant now.
As for fitting in, well..we all fight for the same causes. U.S. Gain has a trickle down effect on Canada, so interests are fairly similar.

Speaking of Delta Force...
When that game came out, I was saying "WHOA THIS GAME IS SO REALISTIC BECAUSE YOU DIE IN TWO SHOTS WHOA!" That was seven years ago. Now it's 2005 and Novalogic hasn't done jack**** to upgrade their games in terms of realism. Joint Operations and their other vehicle-based series have you driving around like it's a Hot Wheels computer game you found in a box of Cheerios.
Also, Novalogic can no longer be taken seriously AT ALL. On the inside panel of the Joint Operations box, some of the excerpts include "snipe from your belly" and "Barrett Super Weapon."
Novalogic sucks *** now.

I used to love my DF3 and I found BHD to be kind of a bust.. Then they said the BHD expansion pack would have driveable vehicles.. I was like that will be sweet.. then they ditched that idea and came out with Joint Ops (money-making idea) which had practically the same engine, save the terrain. Has anyone else noticed that in BHD and Joint Ops the player models are the same, the vehicles that both games share are the same, and it even has some of the exact same weapons lmao

Back to the point:
Maybe, this mod could be one of those that sort of transcends ONE certain war (be it real or not). Basically, I would really really like to see a couple maps of different areas of Fallujah, and sites of other modern real US engagements. You have to admit that a realism mod isn't quite a realism mod if the battles its creating never happenend.... maybe that's just me.

Ya, I still think there should be some maps based in this WW3, as long as somebody (hell i might do it / find it / steal it from someone else) gets a plausible story working.
A modern WW3 allows for battles we can't say happened in Iraq or Afghanistan, major air battles, and FAIR tank battles to be the first thing

I think ww3 would be the best setting. Then we could have almost any type of battle. Fair tank battles would be good, but how about a sea battle period. How many BF mods have a good sea battle? None.Figisaacnewton wrote:Ya, I still think there should be some maps based in this WW3, as long as somebody (hell i might do it / find it / steal it from someone else) gets a plausible story working.

Oh! oh! I think Frontline 1918 will have an entire map with only water. Having some WWI tomfoolery with those days big sluggish steamers and whatnot.
But as for WW3, that would definitivly be an idea that could work. I mean, you can only add so much realism before there's nothing left to do, and then what? Might as well start another mod, incorperating all the great stuff from PR. And I would love doing artwork and writing for something like that.

i think a plausible storyline is a good idea, and id go with waffenbaum on saying writing for it would be alot of fun.
obviously a storyline is not a primary goal as of right now but i think a good, immersive storyline is a good idea for the PR mod because (at least to me) the storyline in a game is almost as important as the gameplay itself.
