(love the mod, just wish the over-vanilla style players would give it a break and get a little sense)

That FlightOps guy is the guy who took my hummer, drove 20 feet, ran over a friendly, and hopped out. A real class act, straight outta vBF2.

Homer: If a guy jumps in and actually DOES something with the humvee, that's fine with me, I'll go along for the ride... but to basically waste it for his own person 20 ft taxi ride.... unnecessary to say the least.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has noticed the 'watered down' play... I just wish I could get my clan server going with a good population.... people like me, and Fuzzhead (who's in detroit I think) should ping our server in Chi-town at like 20-30. http://www.xtremegamerz.com

Last night was pretty bad. I normally don't ***** about medics not reviving, because sometimes they just can't get to you without dieing. (And I hate it more when they suicide revive). Last night was kind of weird though. I would see 8 medics on the mini-map near me, one would come and steal my kit and run off...

Assuming i dont coordinate with the [PR] players, i look for those names of people i have played with before in a squad and trust.
Seeing one squad with VOIPONLY in the squadname and the rest of the server in random 2-4 man squads.... recepie for disaster.

VOIP squadleaders... call for mic-checks and if you get no response, and people dont do what you ask of them, kick them from the squad. simple as that. Lock your squad if fools join it without teamwork or mics.
If you ask someone to "dont pick sniper kit" we are assaulting flags from close range. and they dont... kick. Make room for a teamplayer, if it doesn't fit your strategy for the mission.

Commanders, ask the SL's to adjust their squads if they are getting slaughtered, telling a squad that constantly dies to get a medic in the squad is a good idea.

As me and many others have mentioned before, this is a symptom off this mod becoming more popular. the top mod award will be attracting a lot of people.

People will end up giving up on PR mod if they have no patience and can't get the insta-fun feeling from the game. Good, just the way it should be.

Admins imo should tighten up on server settings, monitor their servers closely etc.

Eventually as this game is quite different decent gameplay is only seen when you really know those who you are playing with, at least in your squad.

hey all, i was wondering if its just me, or is there one of the insergent kits that look just like the British? i was playing last night on GH west, and we where playing "the street" i was on the insergents side and i had what i thought was a brit soldier, he even droped a british kit. turns out it was some one one on me team who had pick up a british kit. so my applogies on who i tked ( mistaken identity) but i was wondering if any one eles has this problem? or perhaps it is just me.

OH oh oh, we are telling stories. I have one.

My fearless leader is fuzzhead (hi fuzz) and because of my recklessness we have taken controll of the rooftops on EJOD city. "Corpman? Where the hell are ya? - Oh oh oh - roof - kewl - we're coming up!" I smile to myself while I lean over the edge of the rooftop and see multitude of USMC M4's spawning all over square and taking them out with a bullit or two from my lovely G3. No longer alone, my whole squad is next to me and taking back control of this game.

Untill, ... Norhawk falls of the roof and gets himself killed. "Medic!". Fuzz says something like "You're not going to revive him?". I take one look and say "nah - he's a buddy, he'll forgive me. SPAWN ON SL, stupid!!!"

No it's not just you bro; it seems to be a bug. Best advice to anyone playing insurgent "don't pick up a British kit" Although those new Brit weapons in game specially the rifleman's with "walking" scope are awfull tempting.

To me everyday I play PR it gets more and more like vanilla to me. There is too much arcade gameplay going on now. Most of the time I'm on the losing team and this is were I experience most of the TKing and absolutely no teamwork. I always hop on to a squad and listen for a while if I here no chatter and the squad members are scattered I move on. If all the squads are worthless I just team-switch. You might say that its wrong to do it or not but I could care less because too many people play PR like idiots. Most of the time even when I switch teams there is still no teamwork so I just give up and dont play till maybe 7 hours later to try my luck again. I have had many good times on PR when I first started playing now its just rediculous. And my biggest gripe is the M4. Its almost like the USMC dont even need team work as long as 85% of the team is spec ops they can win anytime. I think the sooner that is fixed the better.

Actually, the M4 isn't THAT good. It's still fairly easy to win vs USMC. Remember, if they are all using M4s, then they don't have any other kits to revive, rearm, destroy vehicles, etc.

Yes, I ***** about it every time I'm killed by an M4, but I know it will be fixed the next patch. The Chinese special ops is almost as good as the M4 (it seems to have the same spread, just no optics). The only side that doesn't really have a match vs the M4 is the MEC (please give us back the AK-74U. please :cry

Anyhow, if you are really pissed about the M4, just kill a guy with one, take his and go infiltrate an enemy base. If your team is all scattered and being boring, chances are the other team is scattered too, so you will cause some havoc with the M4.

Oh yeah, and go ahead an play a whole night just using the M4, you will figure out how it works, and figure out how people kill you when you use it. Plus you will just get really bored using the M4... that's what I did..

trust me ive used the M4 before but I just hate how easy it is to kill ppl with. I know how it works and y I get raped and headshoted from like a mile away. I just dont want to be cheap. so i dont use it

I always thought about that whenever I saw this happening. I would see PR devs etc. On the side with the most and they never take charge and switch sides.

As a medic I will try to revive people if they did not die right out in the open and I am sure there are no enemy close at hand. My favorite is to be killed and have a helpful minded medic come up and revive me only to have an enemy who was waiting for that zap and cough sound to pounce around the corner killing me again and the defenseless medic. Lovely. And when I do play Super medic I run out of zaps so fast. And do riflemen toss down ammo packs after you revive them, even after spamming like a mad man you need ammo? No they run off to get shot again then wonder why you are standing close by not helping them. Sure I could pick up the kit toss down ammo, get new zaps, etc. But the reality is I will be dead as the guy who shot the rifleman will have a grenade out and ready for when I zap him.

That is for folks who are not in my squad. If you are in my squad I will do what I can.

I have to respectfully disagree about the only use for Humvee and Vodnik is transport. If they are placed out of sight so you dont get sniped defending with them is great. And more often than not people who jump in are not driving long distances. I generally leave a car alone unless my squad is using it. I will hop in an APC to take cover from snipers and such but I try not to move them.

I agree. What I dont understand is why people dont try to work as a team. PR point system pretty much means nothing, so all that matters is the win.
When you play BF2 with all its ranking **** you are pretty much are by yourself anyway. Everyone is out for themselves to rack up the points and step over anyone else or Tk for the Jet/Tank/Chopper... etc.
But here on PR that kind of play is pointless (pun indended), which is why I started playing here all the time.

Moreover, the tk'ing is getting worse. Case in point: I requested a sniper kit, got it, and then was tk'ed for it.

Man, some of the teams are so bad on Mutrah, i started lone wolfing it!(and i HATE lone Wolves!). but not in the usual request sniper kit way. I got the LB gunz almost every time it spawned(twice) and racked up a total of 36kills to two deaths(1 death was being spawn raped by INF.)
Kills shmills! Sure its fun being able to do that, but i wanna hear my SL saying "we're pinned down behind the gas station, can we get a strafe on that sand dune to the south?!"

Yeah, I was driving in it once, you were the passenger, when you said you wanted it, so I tried to land so we could switch seats, but it landed on an angle and eventually blew up, sorry.

Ha, that must've been right before I got there or right after I left, I was on that server for two rounds with the odds like that, we did damn well against the odds considering we were always out numbered

Well if you see DW guys around thats my group of friends I'm trying to get them organized and fighting as a unit, but the majority of our guys tend to play 2142 and lone wolf it 90% of the time. Honestly we're split 50/50 on who likes and dislikes PR and the reasons why. I love it cause I wanted more realism than what BF2 provided (dumping full clip from a G36 into a guys back and he stands up and shoots me once with the sniper rifle to kill me)

When I'm on I'm usually a medic and I usually try to help the squad as best I can.
