Wich are best to start?

hi,
Im new to the modeling scene
and i want to participate in PR by making unique objects
I was wondering what is the best model to start with
I know that sodiers need some kind of rigging for the animations so i don't think I'll jump on these models for now...
what about weapons or statics?
wich are the best to start with the BF2 engine?

p.s. english is my 2nd language so i hope that you were able to understand my question :P

as an occasional modeller i would say that ingame statiobnary statics are the easiest...they can be quite simple like a garbage can...easy to do/map/texture and gives you some wuick satisfaction.. (and then you will also know if you wanna go further...!!)

it has been a steep learning curver for me BUT very very interesting...just read as much as you can about it is my advice..

if you can produce nice dense bushes that can cover entire player would be nice... for some dense forest map that im planing to make.
