'[R-DEV wrote:TheRealFritz']Because GloryHoundz is one of the servers with tougher anti-cheat protection. Other servers that I know also do this are Thor's Brigade and iGi.

The fact is that if you get such an error, your install deviates from what it should be. There are many reasons why that could be, but in the end, this provides the best anti-cheat protection available, currently.

Well it's certainly good to know they are trying to stop those cheating losers.

Hey bjack,

I don't think I got a chance to say hi, last time I joined a map with you on it. I came into the server, and you were on your way out I think. Guess you had been playing for a long while before I got on.

I'm gonna reload everything starting now. I hope this cures the issue once and for all. If not I'm gonna pull my hair out.

btw, one common reason for people getting md5tool errors is using battle launcher for recording demos. The reason is that it actually modifies at least one of the files. It's supposed to make a backup and restore it... But I guess it doesn't always reliably do that.

Well I've reinstalled everything from scratch. So far so good. I've been on for about 2 hours, and no errors or kicks for MD5tool.

Keeping my fingers crossed...

Not trying to be cheeky, but ... no. :D
It depends what the file error is. If its one of the "main" files then you might as well go kill yourself. If it errors one mapname - heck, I'll send that file to you zipped over xfire. :D

Thanks.

I removed, defragged and installed everything from scratch, and now it seems to be fine. Only time will tell for sure if it's fully resolved now.

Thanks everyone for you input and assistance.
