Exactly, that's how it's supposed to be. Besides i'm sure any half smart Heavy AT goon will be able to take a tank out, maybe not from the front but i'm sure that 2 to the sides or one to the back will be enough. Even the tracks are be vulerable. I never understood why people complained about Tanks in vBF2. Easy to take out, just aim for the weak spots.
People will be complaining becuase their AT4's/RPG's/Ugly PLA thing won't be able to take out MBT's from the front, we can just laugh at those guys.
Oh yeah, you can also take out tanks with:
Other tanks (duh, first and foremost prority in a tank is to take out the enemy tanks, once that's done, switch to HE rounds and rape)
Mines (one of the most effective ways!)
Air support (most spectacular)

Well then you shouldnt of had missed. Im sure the troops iraq dont go :
"But sarge, he shot me with an AK from faaaaar away, thats hax!"
Nope they dont do that. Plus its not the recoils fault
I know how to kill a tank in 1 shot from the front (only works in vBF2 though lol). It doesnt take a genius to figure out where to hit

why is that ridiculous? At less than 300m, a rifle is as accurate as the shooterluizinhuu wrote:egg, are the recoils of all weapons similar to 0.3's now? because right now everyone is a sniper in potential.. me as a sniper got pwnt by a guy with g3 veeery far from my position... with 1 shot.. that was ridiculous

I hope it's not like it used to be, that was terrible, couldn't hit shit. The current is too much, obviously, something in between the two would be perfect.'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']And with the M4 recoil fixed Spec Ops is useless (instead of maybe going "behind the lines" and destroying enemy assets).

ridiculous because its easier to hit with the g3 than with the sniper rifle because of the loooooooow recoil. not to mention the much faster rate of fire of the g3 compared to the sniper rifle$kelet0r wrote:why is that ridiculous? At less than 300m, a rifle is as accurate as the shooter
right now it is too easy to shoot

but the thing is on single shot recoil doesnt do sh!t.
you shoot once let it recoil, wait a second shoot again. there is no recoil on single shot its just about how good you aim.
if he was on full auto and shot the whole 20 bullets at you in 3 secs and they all hit you thats a different matter.
there is no -as far as im aware- crappy deviation in this mod so its entirely possible to do and i have done so many times with m16, g3, and m4 especially on maps like ejod.

There is deviation. Seen it with my own eyes with the AK47. I was doing a full auto 30 round test. After about 20 rounds, bullets started flying out at weird angles. Not really bad like in vBF2, but bad enough to make you cringe.
And don't get me started on the deviation of .50 cal machine guns. Don't even get me started....

In v0.4 a hit to the torsro against an unarmored target is a 1 shot kill. Against a body armor wearing target they will reduce the target to about 20% health.
Against limbs, which are not protected by body armor on armored targets, they should be reduced to about 15% health.
Shoot for the head
Also in v0.4 the 7.62 calibre bolt action sniper rifles don't start to dissipate muzzle velocity energy until about 400m and bleed off energy to about 900m at which point they will do about 40% of their original damage.

BF2 engine is pretty advanced on that part, isnt it?'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']In v0.4 a hit to the torsro against an unarmored target is a 1 shot kill. Against a body armor wearing target they will reduce the target to about 20% health.

Is it possible on the Unreal engine for instance?
