You are my hero'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']In v0.4 a hit to the torsro against an unarmored target is a 1 shot kill. Against a body armor wearing target they will reduce the target to about 20% health.
Against limbs, which are not protected by body armor on armored targets, they should be reduced to about 15% health.
Shoot for the head
Also in v0.4 the 7.62 calibre bolt action sniper rifles don't start to dissipate muzzle velocity energy until about 400m and bleed off energy to about 900m at which point they will do about 40% of their original damage.

Engineers can do that better >_<. The M4 recoil is "fixed" but does not appear to be nearly so bad as .3 levels. It's about half-way between the two. Still an o.k. combat class, but riflemen have the body armor, so they'd win in a 1-on-1 most of the time.'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']I predict much whining about how vehicles are way too uber now. And with the M4 recoil fixed Spec Ops is useless (instead of maybe going "behind the lines" and destroying enemy assets).

wrt an M113 .. er.. don't think that's really much more than a tracked coffin nowadays isn't it hehe? Not in the current plans for vehicle additions.

We have some plans for the US Forces that we'll make public once they firm up a bit more. Also will be somewhat iterative in that the first release of the changes might not be "all that it can be" but we'll get there eventually. First possible release for those changes is v0.6, but might even be 1 release after that.. not sure.Animalmother wrote:heh what about AAVs? Or are we stickin with the LAV?

I'm still hunting for -real- not gaming reticule pics for you, but to give you an idea of the zoom (of course it should be for balance IG the same as the other MBT's)'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']Type 99 / T90 reticule & HUD references hard to come by. If anyone can source some good refs there that would be a huge help.
The gunners thermal sight on a T-90 is the Argave 2.
Агава-2:
-spotting - 6400 м;
-classification- 4600 м;
-identification - 2500 м.
(under good condition)
Both Agava-2 and Nokturn are made by the same company, Zenit.
I think the russian varients use the 1G46, hopefully this information might help others find a pic of the reticule for the devs.

and thats why i think they should keep the parachute.'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']Not sure if we got it completely correct .. but all weapons are generally more lethal now.
