DR zero sum's it up rigth there. At one stage in a game i was going up a "hill" and all my teammates got out and decided to walk the rest of the way, which was about 100 metre's and they beat me there.

yeah i wanted to say challenger but ithought it was just favortism. but i looked it up, i dont know if its true but the challenger 2 is the only modern tank that can fire if its engines blown up. my uncle in the TA drives one and it is a BEAST. ill see if ican get a video of it in action
found a great site its got videos of challengers as90 even mortars and a battle scenario.

About how the abrams is going too fast or slow...
the numbers requiem gave us can't be right, it's the Bf2 engine being stupid.
No way in hell the max speed of an abrams in BF2 is 60mph, its more like 40 or 35. it just needs more torque....and it needs to be heavier, so that when it hits things it doesnt bounce back, it just stops. also, lots of flimsy things need to be made so they are breakable, like all of those stupid alluminum foil or whatever fences, and small trees (10 - 20 feet tall trees)

yeah, while i was doing the vehicle physics i totally disregard that ingame speedometer its totally outter whack!
A soldier sprinting = 70kph...
Anyways, i reckon the Isreali Merkava Mk4 or the French Leclerc MBTs are similar matched to the Challenger and M1A2. Tho the 140mm Leopard 2A6 would be the most powerful in offence/defence buts that in a prototype stage..
Challenger/M1A2/Leopard 2A6/Leclerc/Merkava Mk4 are all in the same league in technology wise..

Yea i also noticed that the speeds arnt correct that are displayed. No way do tanks in bf2 go 62mph because if it was translated realisticly youd be flying by everywhere - if i dident catch your reply correctly im sorry.[R-DEV wrote:Paladin-X]In case no one noticed requiem's post, the m1a2 in bf2 goes 100kph which is about 62mph. It should only go about 42mph/68kph. And you can go from 0-100kph in under 2secs.
