Bf2 sucked with its gay "pro" glitches (dolphin diving etc..) until 1.22, then it was quite fun. Then they ruined it with 1.3 really badly, that was the worst patch ever in any game. 1.4 was ok but still not as good as 1.22, then 1.41 took the piss out of everyone. Lets hope this new one just makes the game easier for the modding guys, that's all i really care about. vBF2 isn't fun anymore.
And yeah i agree with eggman. 2142 is what BF2 should be like. Minus the gay sci fi ****.

It goes like this, EA did ALMOST nothing.
They put a tight deadline on DICE, not giving enough development time for what is supposed to be a massive game. This is why many features were also dropped such as the ability to lean. I for one would not want to work in any EA affiliated studio. The only studio I might consider working in would be Crytek, since they can pretty much take their business elsewhere if EA don't like what they're doing

That'll work until EA buys them out too. Then they'll be just as screwed as DICE was. Which I hope won't happen. Crytek is awesome, and Crysis is gonna be kick ***. I may be arcadish, but i'll still be kickass.

I doubt we will see a new patch. First off EA has pretty announced that BF2 is done with with patch 1.41. Also the DiCE Canada team which made the patches was disbanded the week EA aquired DiCE and merged it into the EA franchise. If a patch is made it might be made by the team that made BF2. It that happend we might get real fixes rather than the hacked together fixes we got through the patches. (eg. run animation when jumping, awkward delay when going prone to crouch, etc)
