PR Heli set up

Post by keef_haggerd »

how will this be set up? i hate how it is in BF2, POE was my favorite set up, the co-pilot used the minigun and air to air missles, and the pilot used the weaker unguided rockets, and heatseeking anti armour rockets, im just curious what PR will do with the helis

If you can please dear christ make them like they were in Desert Combat.

Hrmm, i think in desert combat is was..

Gun only had control of the 30mm Cannon, while the pilot has control of the 70mm Hydra rockets and AGM-114K Hellfires.. But they werent homing, so it was just point and shoot.

Considering adding the additional feature on the Pilot, would make the gunner position quite limited.. Also it would be quite hard to fly the copter and view the Laser viewing screen at the same time to fire the Laser Guide hellfires.

I'm actually quite happy with the way the chopper's are in bf2 . Once you get the hang of things its all smooth sailing.

hrmm i found something interesting on the AH-1Z
Cockpit and avionics are upgraded as well. The new cockpit features two multifunction 15 by 20 centimeter (6 by 8 inch) flat-panel displays for each crewman; secure radio communications; a tactical digital data system; a inertial-navigation system incorporating a GPS receiver; and a digital map display. Both sets of cockpit controls are largely identical, allowing either crewperson to fly the helicopter or fire its weapons. A rudimentary backup cockpit flight-control panel operated off battery power is also provided for each crewperson so that the AH-1Z can "limp home" if its AC power system is disabled.
Very interesting indeed.

I think the flight controls should stay as they are, especially in the blackhawk. But the weapon systems needs change. And adding of the pilot class.

pilot class mp5k or mk5k as primary or a pistol, htey need flares, signal smoke, a knife, and what about a medic pack than can be used only once and dosn't refil unless they get ammo? sort of a survival kit, flares, small arms, knife, smoke, some drugs

Yeah i thought of drugs, as if no pilot fly without been doped up on crack/ice/LSD while flying, that would be insane!

Can you just please add the ability to look right and left with the primary and secondary fire for transport chopper pilots? I hate flying with my vision fixed forward(and don't give me any of the mouselook nonsense, how can you fly properly and use the mouse to look around?)

I've tried that before... it's insanely hard to maintain throttle control and look around with the mouse. Just a simple look left or right like they had in the DCR blackhawk. It makes life so much easier for the guy that flys a particularly large target around with no weapons of his own to use :(

I like the idea of a pilot class...I am tired of 15 people gathering around the heli spawn trying to snag it first...and then when they don't get it they throw c4 on it and blow it up and wait for it to respawn.

I don't know if this has been said before, and also want to not get to far off topic, but is there going to be class limits? There is no reason to have 20 pilots (if added) running around fighting over planes/choppers.
