Hi,

I've got an error when Protect Reality starts:
Failed to load Effect: StaticMesh.fx
------------------------------------

SaticMesh.fx(2): error X1507: failed to open source file:
'mods/pr/shaders/datatypes.fx'

Opnieuw Annuleren
What's the problem here? I've downloaded pr_0406_setup.exe and installed it.

Do you have Special Forces ?

If not then thats the problem , will be fixed in v0.5

you do NOT need BF2:SF to play PR thou on nightmaps if you dont have BF2:SF installed they will CTD on load. But no one plays nightmaps anyways. What map was the server running when you joined?

Roy,

I think this error only comes up on "night" maps

so you can still play the other maps without this error, and like rhino said try installing the newstest 1.41 patch which can be found here

ive had a similer thing to this. I uninstalled everything; PR and BF2. Then i did a search of my computer for anything related to those and deleated it. Then i reinstalled BF2 and patched it to 1.41. After that i installed PR .3, then i downloaded .4 and deleated .3 from my program files/bf2/mods and add and remove programs. Then i installed .4 and somehow i got it working. This is a frustrating thing to have and it took me a week to finally fix it, but this should work, note that system restoring does not fix it.

ye royduin if you find install BF2 1.41 dosent work, do the above apart from miss out the PR 0.3 installation as you wont need that

it should work if you dont have the newist patch installed already.

What Rhino says does I understand

I've version 1.0.2442.0 of BF2. When I install the patch I hope that I can play BF2 with the Project Reality MOD!
I've downloaded another MOD: PoE2, this MOD does not work, is it posibly that it is the same problem by PoE2?
By PoE2 i've got no error, but I see some blank screens and than I see my desktop, the game will not start.
I've got an reply from somebody and he says that the problem is that the driver of my video-card is not good. (I've the Geforce 8800GTS with the driver: 97.92)

I've downloaded en installed the patch! Now everything works

Project Reality is not so good else I thought. PoE2 find I improve.
There is no richter at your weapon by Project Reality and there are not this way much new solicit.
I nevertheless choose for PoE2.

Very a lot thanks for your help, differently PoE2 it did not do also.

Goed om te horen dat het nou in elk geval werkt. Alleen jammer dat je liever PoE2 speelt. Ik geloof dat we hier klaar zijn dan, en dat deze gesloten kan worden.

English: Glad to know that at least it works now. Just too bad that you prefer PoE2. I think we're done here then, and we can close this one.
