Custom mp3 music/sounds in game?
I was thinking for server side give the option for admins to allow players to dl custom mp3s and sounds of the admins choice sorta like Counter Strike, or just on client side a mp3 console where players can play there fav mp3 songs in game and the in game sound automatically turns off at this time.

I seriously doubt they will put effort into making the game annoying as hell while disrupting realism.Nathan0490 wrote:I was thinking for server side give the option for admins to allow players to dl custom mp3s and sounds of the admins choice sorta like Counter Strike, or just on client side a mp3 console where players can play there fav mp3 songs in game and the in game sound automatically turns off at this time.

In real life, I know from experience that many armored vehicle crews will wire a boombox into the communication system so everyone wearing a CVC helmet inside can listen to music. I also know that it's possible to build a little wooden box with a car stereo and a pair of speakers mounted in it just the right size to fit under the radio mount in a HMMWV. Some quick-release wires running to speakers mounted in the back & to one of the batteries under the front seat help make it easy to install & remove.

This sounds like some thing that wouldn't be possible, or pheasible, with your average MDK.
Yes some crews/pilots/soldiers/whoever may do this, but that doesn't make it the norm in combat. I must also, sadly, admit that EA made a good point on this. The vietnam was an era havily defined by its music, BF2(and PR) are modern... with many types of modern music, so who's to say what's right and what's wrong to put in the game?

Hmmm... I thought it would probably lean towards letting YOU choose YOUR music, wasn't that mentioned already?
Sure it's not "the norm in combat," but it can be done if you want to - and nobody would be forcing anyone to do it against their will in a game either.
I probably wouldn't use it, but it seems like a lot of players are very interested, I'm only taking their side because I do know that it IS realistic.
