Help with .ogg files and menu music

Post by OkitaMakoto »

Hey, I recently downloaded the Promo Video and set it as my menu movie (.bik), slightly editted and without the music. Now, I want to cue the same song (which I have in m4a format) to start when BF2 does (not the main-menu, but the initial log in screen)
I have tried converting the song to .ogg format, rezipping it in the common_client.zip, and then changing the music load in the mod.desc but it gives me silence. I have tried changing the code in mod.desc to load up songs that were already in the zip, and it works, but I want the one song...
Then, to see if it was not a proper conversion (using Sony Acid Pro, which by all means, should work...) I took an .ogg file from another mod (Point of Existence) and zipped it into reality's common_client.zip and cued it to load. It worked. It also works if you cue it to load something not zipped, but in the reality main folder and chang the cue address in mod.desc...
So, all I can guess is that my .ogg's I am converting from this m4a, and mp3 are not being converted right, because they refuse to play in BF2PR! Unless there is something else I am missing... anyone know how to accomplish this?
Help?
