Server Admin Contact Info

Post by {GD}StevenGarcia »

I thought that it would be a good idea if there were a master list of servers that included server admin contact info. Lately there has been an influx of a**clowns and when servers don't have an active admin presence it can get out of hand.

Example:

This is from the [OSF] server.

Have you checked out https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f29-pl ... rvers.html ??? Usually admins leave some sort of contact name when promoting their server.

Yes, I did.

What I'm suggesting is a master list of admin contact info. If there is someone ruining a game on a server, I don't want to have to register on a forum and post just to get an admin's attention. It would be convenient to be able to quickly contact an admin via Teamspeak, IM, or email.

Ditto, such basic contact information for admin(s), hell even their website would be nice, however the linked master list has neither. Admin's may not be in game but they may be available very promptly through email or IM, and getting to them promptly may save alot of players from grief and preventing an admin's server from being left empty due to too many people simply giving up on it.

I agree and I think xfire would be the best way of getting hold of someone a.s.a.p imo.
Well I'm one of the admin's on [PTG] so add me! :D

How about a sticky with a list of players that should be banned due to extreme griefing? Not sure how that would work, just an idea.

I don't want people Xfiring me to ask about bans.

If someone has something they need to speak about they can post on our forums.

If we do compile a list of contact info, what sort of information would you want reported in your forum in the case of hacker/repeat tk'er/griefer? Nickname, date and time?

What is unfortunate is that with the great number of servers available I can't help but expect most people would just say "screw it" and move to a different server. Just a side question to the servers admins that are reading this, do you guys often share ban information with admins of other servers? Just trying to get an idea of how effective a person could help the community by reporting a griefer/tk'er at the posted contact locations.

I think if people have been banned then they have to go to that clans website to request and unban but use xfire if there is someone on the server acting the prat!
