control sensitivity
What is the optimal sensitivity level for the controls? I've heard people say how they adjust the sensitivity level to make aiming and driving easier, but what is the best level?

I spent about a half an hour perfecting my sensitivity for all aircraft (fixed and rotor) after I installed .5 it's just personal preference, load up Al Basrah (create your own server), after loaded, join the USMC, hit the "~" key then type in sv.NumPlayersNeededToStart 1 , then just fly aircraft around and set your sensitivities to your liking. I'm constantly adjusting mine though.

im lucky/sad/geeky enough to have one of these mice:

mx518
it has a plus+minus button on the mouse for changing sensitivty on thr go
So flying choppers or Tank turret you can set it high, sniping or even ironsights shooting you can set it smooth in a click

What my defaults are but everyones differet
Infantry-Medium/High This is different for everyone, but If you get used to a sensitive mouse fps style you will benefit. You should beable to ATLEAST turn 180 degrees without picking up your mouse and moving it back across the pad
Ground Vehciles- Medium/High, Apart from looking around in the hummer, the only thing its useful for is turrets. You want to be able to spin your turret fast, but not have it too jerky when looking around in the drivers seat.
Helicopter- High The more sensitive your mouse is to the chopper controls, the tighter and more manouverable you flying will be. Get use to flying with a sensitive mouse, it will benefit you in the long run.
Boats-Medium/Low Only used for looking around, too sensitive and the free look is annoyingly jerky.
Jets-N/A Mouse only used for Ctrl-look. If you try flying jets with a mouse you will get owned by any other keyboard/joystick user everytime. This is not up for discussion or you will be banzorred for sure. There is only 1 way and thats the right way.

my mouse... i always scoffed at the + and - sensitivity scheme until i got it myself... i love it
you get good enough with it, you can use it actively when sniping

orly? I doubt that very much so, I've been keyboard/mouse my entire BF2 lifespan, and I don't get "owned," by everything, I think I compare pretty well with the better then average pilots.'[R-DEV wrote:duckhunt']Jets-N/A Mouse only used for Ctrl-look.
