Such class should be a single kit in a 64p map, with the silenced mp5 KP is modeling. IMO such kit should have the SOFLAM, flashbangs and maybe a grapling hook. Whoever got it would have to be wise while using it, only to infiltrate enemy area alone and prepare the terrain for possible reinforcements.
Remember - although this is not used in nowadays conflicts (wich usually happen with ocupation forces in mideast fighting insurgents) I think it's existence could be possible in a wider conflict such as a war among US and China or a organized army like MEC. It might not be that realistic to have such a class in PR gameplay, but maybe it's worth a try in one of the versions. Many things have been tested and removed, I don't see why not testing an idea like this.

Actually, its machinen pistole or something along those lines, which means sub-machine gun in German.

He's talking about this one (which, obviously, isn't finished yet):V3N0N_br wrote:with the silenced mp5 KP is modeling

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

Well, yes, but the equivalent English term is actually sub-machine gun.Noff wrote:It's maschinenpistole, and it literally translates to (surprise!) machine pistol.
In Norway, we call them maskinpistol. Almost the same, see?

I'd be So friggen nice if you add the commando and replace the spec ops by having them with guile suits and mp5's like the blackops. They could have a special switch blade knife with a silence pistol. They could, of course, be a limited kit (1 per each team). This would also be nice for the Chinese team as I heard that chinese/japs/vietnamese are crazy with camouflaged ambushes. I actually like the idea!

Yes, they'll wear pants and a shirt with torn-off sleeves and wield an M60 machine gun. They'll be super-accurate and have a damn lot of health. And instead of the laugh when you kill someone, they'll say, "I'm just a cook."

Ok, the Specops class has been debated before, and as a fan of the class I would like to post my ideas of how I would like the Specops to work/look. Ok here goes:
Specops (Recon):
-----------------
Knife
Silenced Pistol (3+1 Magazines)
Silenced M4 (7+1 Magazines)
Frag grenades (2x)
Smoke grenades (1x)
Claymores (2x)
Field dressing (1x)
Binoculars
No body armour
Specops (CQB):
-----------------
Knife
Pistol (3+1 Magazines)
M4/MP5 (7+1 Magazines)
Flashbang grenades (3x)
Smoke grenades (2x)
Field dressing (1x)
SLAM (2x)
Grappling hook
Medium body armour
Ok so here is my idea. The Recon version would be used on maps with lots of terrain (ie not city maps) for recon missons ie spotting enemy troop movements aswell as supporting other frendly infantry units in firefights and staging ambushes with the claymores.
The CQB version would be used in urban maps as an anti infantry class and for assulting enemy held buildings with flashbangs and smokes. The SLAMs would be used as a form of breaching charge (clearing blocked accesways).
For this class to work and make the players work as a team the Specops class would have to be limited to say 4 kits and requested by players in a locked squad of atleast 2 players.
This is just an idea I came up with in my attempts to give the Specops class a role in PR rather than just being a rambo wannabe class.

So MEC are allowed to run up and rape us in FA with a G3 and were not allowed to use M4's in retaliation..? Sounds like a great plan! Like sending a helicopter pilot to the front lines without the helicopter.Figisaacnewton wrote:Not knowing what -.- means,
Do I need to slap you? Or maybe I need to run up, rape you repeadetly with an m4, then teabag your dead body and throw slams on it?

The real world has no standardized usage for these arbitrary terms though. Like one fellow said earlier, submachinegun was merely a marketing decision by Thompson to make them sound better. My favorite term is assault rifle though, just because almost no military actually uses it (it was after all coined by Hitler to convince his soldiers that they were actually going to be on the offensive).KP wrote:Well, yes, but the equivalent English term is actually sub-machine gun.

So I say don't quibble about whether something is technically a SMG/MP/AR/MBR/SAW/GPMG/BUG/whatever. There's too much gray area and it's mostly a waste of time.
