TeamWork

Post by CENINJA »

I love this mod, but for some reason people cant work as a squad...they get seperated, and don't cover each other... unless you are in a really coordinated squad, you are pretty much on your own. So here are some suggestions to help squads work together.

.Make the limited kits have a set number of kits for each squad, instead of a certain amount of limited kits for the whole team...

.Squads should have a set proximity around the squad leader, and if you go too far from it it will say the "where are you going soldier messege", or something, iono I think that would make the squads function a little better together.

.Change some of the commands, like have a cover me, stop the vehicle, hold this position, and maybe some other commands

.I think you should make a game type with no flags or time limit, just troops vehicles and rally points.... so it puts a emphasis on teamwork, but also have a lower ticket number.. E.G. like 200-300 or something

.Be able to spawn around your squad, not just your squad leader

I'll try to think of more suggestions to make it a more team oriented game.

Also another suggestion, its not really a teamwork suggestion... Change the Spec Ops class to Close quarters Specialist, that seems like a more suiting name.

Might be possible
.Squads should have a set proximity around the squad leader, and if you go too far from it it will say the "where are you going soldier messege", or something, iono I think that would make the squads function a little better together.
What if this squad leader dies?
.Change some of the commands, like have a cover me, stop the vehicle, hold this position, and maybe some other commands
These are all manageable over VOIP.
.I think you should make a game type with no flags or time limit, just troops vehicles and rally points.... so it puts a emphasis on teamwork, but also have a lower ticket number.. E.G. like 200-300 or something
Then what would you be fighting over? People would just be running around like regular BF2.
.Be able to spawn around your squad, not just your squad leader
We have rally points. :)

None of these will fix anything, just find a good squad or go squad leader yourself, kick people that you don't think are fit to be in your squad and voila.

No. What if you have a sniper in your squad and he's covering you from a rooftop 100m away from the flag. Hes part of your squad, and hes helping you and the team.

Today I was leading a squad on Mao Valley and there were 12 people playing. That's one whole squad per team. We broke down into two groups, still in one squad, and took two seperate flags. If we'd broken up into two seperate groups we couldn't have placed rally points without exploiting the kit request/squad system.

If you don't like other squads make your own. Make it a custom squad and call it TEAMWORK, tell your team and I'm sure you'll get some people. If you're leading a squad and you've got someone doing their own thing, perhaps using your squad so they can get their sniper rifle(I've done it) kick 'em. If they keep coming back lock your squad and invite people.

First off, use the search button.
Second, apply everything ugly duck said.
Make the limited kits have a set number of kits for each squad, instead of a certain amount of limited kits for the whole team...
That's actually something we are looking into, I don't know how it's going to help promote teamwork, but it's something we are looking into so you can't have more then two medics or spec ops and so on in a squad.
Squads should have a set proximity around the squad leader, and if you go too far from it it will say the "where are you going soldier messege", or something, iono I think that would make the squads function a little better together.
Ugly Duck explained it.
Change some of the commands, like have a cover me, stop the vehicle, hold this position, and maybe some other commands
We'd love to, but uhm, we need voice actors that can speak middle eastern (dont know what exact language they speak in game) and voice actors that speak madarin. So yeah, not going to happen anytime soon from what I can tell. As much as we would love to.
I think you should make a game type with no flags or time limit, just troops vehicles and rally points.... so it puts a emphasis on teamwork, but also have a lower ticket number.. E.G. like 200-300 or something
Sounds interesting. But that's pretty much a deathmatch, I think you would need SOME kind objective other then kill the enemy 200 times.
Be able to spawn around your squad, not just your squad leader
Huh?

This game is incredibly team oriented, and i have no trouble finding a squad that covers each other, communicates, and works together. No gripes from me, mac.
