That was awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyhow,

I agree, the Humvee seems to blow far to easily. I mean machine gun fire could probably finish one off but anything less doesn't seem like it would do much damage. especially after seeing that.

If you ask me, jeeps do feel somewhate fragile. Besides the passengers being exposed, they do tend to blow up rather easily and make me feel uncomfortable while riding one of these things.

In terms of damage taken, I think lower caliber rounds should do nothing but scratch the jeeps a bit. Some 7.62 Machine Guns and Sniper rifles should penetrate the jeeps, potentially wounding or killing the passengers inside. .50 Caliber weapons should definately penetrate, and more than likely kill anyone inside. It should take an extreme amount of ammunition to actually blow up a jeep by small arms fire. I've used the HK21E a few times on Al Fallujah Region, and the thing litteraly tears the USMC Humvees to pieces in a matter of seconds. It should take a much longer time before the thing even turns up on fire.

The jeeps should also be capable of taking a few more rounds from Light AT fire. Though, the rocket should most likely penetrate and kill victims inside. There should also be a greater of disabling the jeeps rather than completely destroying them.

On some other notes, hopefully the vanilla jeeps are removed for new models. All the jeeps should be fully enclosed, The Vodnik needs to be amphibious, and should have turret rather than a .50 mounted on top. The Nanjing just needs to go...

I was in a comm unit in the Marines, so I can't speak for the HMMWV's that the infantry had, but ours were made mostly of fiber glass. Some parts were a cheap metalic like thing. Probably Alluminum. Sandbags in the back to line the sides since small arms fire could go through the HMMWVS would have been neccessary. As far as their abbility to go up hill and drive quick, this game is lacking in that area. They handle a lot better and they aren't wimps when climbing up little slopes, though i'm sure that has to deal with the ability to grip a surface on this game is probably based off the angel of the object. Another short coming of the engine i'm sure.

Good points raised here, i think that....
1 - They should be sealed up so that pistol fire in the ear of a driver wont get through the "bullet proof" glass. Also the back should be sealed up with equal armour to the rest of it.
2 - Dont change the fact that an RPG can take these out easily. Thats how it should be.

insurgents vehicles

Post by S.A.S jackwebsterdunstan »

if anyone saw that topgear clip its a toyaota hilux they try to break, that is the same vehicle that is used by rebels and insurgants all over the world, surely insurgents should get some nice toyotas? and if we gave them some then the hummers would have to be made harder, because in reality humvees are practically tanks on tyres, nothing but rockets, mines and tank shells should stop them.

So what sort of armour do they use on the HMMWV's for the infantry? I would like someone to tell me because like I said, ours were fiberglass and some cheap metal. They wouldn't get messed up by bumps, but i'm damn sure a 7.62 x 39R would go through.

if you do make the vehicle enclosed can you make it so that the guys can shoot out the windows or completely lock them up with bullet proof glass
