Haha! Who couldn't?Bob_Marley wrote:They could do with an MP5SD6 as well, KP![]()
I think they could do with this baby: http://www.eliteukforces.info/images/sa ... ressed.jpg
It's an MC51, the predecessor to the HK53, although not manufactured by H&K. Basically a slightly larger MP5 that fires 5.56 NATO rounds. Only this one comes with an integrated suppressor, like the one on the MP5SD. I think I'm in love!

G3 SG/1 (scharfschützen Gewehr)
New Marksman weapon for MEC? Leaving the SVD to the insurgents? I would love it.

okay, all the G3 rifles have been phased out in our regular forces only the "homeguard" (national guard-ish but not anyway) still use the G3 series....KP wrote:DARN! We use that one as well!
I think that there actually is a G3SG1 in the works.
Love to hear that one might be on its way!

7.62x51mm NATO, actually. Utterly loony weapon, the MC-51. Only British special forces would think they need a weapon like that. Mind you, I dont know much about the SBS version (the one pictured, with integral suppressor) but I do know the SAS retired (and replaced them with the HK53) thier unsuppressed versions fairly quickly due to deafening noise, heavy recoil, massive muzzle flair and reliability problems.KP wrote:Haha! Mind you, there must be a demand for them, as they're being produced again.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

My bad. It's sexy as hell anyway. And, yes, they were replaced with the HK53 and - if I'm not much mistaken - the G3KA4. Which I'd like to see as MEC spec ops weapon. Goes with the rest of the 7.62s, you know?Bob_Marley wrote:7.62x51mm NATO, actually. Utterly loony weapon, the MC-51. Only British special forces would think they need a weapon like that. lol Totally. I could not get a freakin kill against g3 users this morning. I hit a guy three times point blank with the M16 and he just brushed it off and gunned me down. Meanwhile whenever I have the g3 I get the feeling of killing power in my arms.'[R-MOD wrote:DukeMeister']whatever man, the new G3 is absolutely deadly now, m16 feels like a bb gun in comparison.

How could you, KP? While the hellenic style grips have thier appeal, theres nothing quite like a G3 in the oldschool OD green slimlines!

The black outlines posted by a DEV in the "new G3 model" thread have the HK79, the 40mm grenade launcher designed for the G3/HK33/G41 series of rifles, and the M203PI can mount onto just about anything, anyway so either would be realistic.SGT.Collado wrote:but it's not realistic unless you add GP on it or something similar that the HK gun line uses, still looks sick though.
