Teek: you didnt know the whole story, lets just say we definitely were not 'cowering on the edge of the map' and the insurgents DEFINITELY wanted us dead :P

It was more of a training exercise, we were not 'playing to win' that round Teek, sorry if it affected your game. We had ALOT of new people in the squad and I wanted to show them how to do things proper ^_^

One thing that pisses me off though. When I get 4 APCs assembled, and working in an organised manor, suddenly EVERYONE ******* to me about how poorly we are using the APCs. Oh come off it!

Whenever I have my boots on the ground, where are all the APCs? Either abandoned in the field or sitting back in the yard, because people are constantly getting them blown up. If I saw an APC column staying alive an entire round, I wouldnt be knocking them for not pulling their own weight, I would be in the back of one awaiting an attack, because I think its SO cool to see mechanized infantry!

And your right exactly Teek, in open country its easy to perform manuvers like that screenshot. In urban map like Al Basrah, where RPG can come from anywhere, and the insurgents with their 20 second timer can come at your CONSTANTLY, you cannot stay in one place too long, and you CANNOT enter the city without a heavy infantry presence.

Teek I would love to gather ideas with you about how best to use infantry and APCs together, mutually supporting each other, those kinda tactics are my favorite :)

DaedalusAI1

Always good having a squad member than can carry out orders.

Sorry to the other guys from squads tonight, I just remembered DaedalusAI1 because I saw him post on the forums :D . I took a screenshot, but that crashed my game when we were playing on greasy mullet :(

I'll have to vouch for Daedalus as well, he was in one of my squads a few days ago and I remember him being a very good squad member as well.

THE--DANCING--CHIN is an awesome team player as well :D

My name is [HI]Wk~, for the record

*waves* to [HI]DrDna and [HI]Merc248

If you see any of us around, I imagine you'll find some willing team players...

And as boring as running around with pilot kits in the middle of Al Basrah is, it was still pretty cool to be shot down but actually survive, and be evacced.

Yeah I love playing with you guys it's always a good round!

wormeaten

- simply the best medic i have ever played with. His effectiveness in a squad often means they can get away with only one medic. I mean this guy is -always- there when you go down, and can gun his way to you if he has to, which he rarely has to with Dr_Rank, Squidy, Kinote, Tbone, Blind, Mongol, etc. around.

Dedicated player, and whether you are on a 3 hour tourney game, or on a 12 hr long pubbing marathon. He is right on the mark every time.

Edit (figured out his name after seeing his post)

Name: Col.Hale [3-5]

Kit: M4/medic/support/officer

Map: Al Basrah

The two of us stuck together moving from flag to flag nearly the entire map doing some good fire and maneauver. Great use of VOIP and only a few blue on blues (I drilled him through the head when we tried clearing an opening in a wall. He was kneeling but his hitbox must have lagged since I drilled him in the back of the head. Had a good laugh over it). Very enjoyable couple rounds last night.

I could nominate so many players that the list right now would seem to be endless. So I’m not going to do that. Besides, others have probably already nominated most of them.

But, there is actually one player i would like to point out and nominate.
And that is -=TB=- DivS-Schrotti.

He conducted the most outstanding job being commander (US team 32/32 – 0.4 version) on the Jabal map, where he managed to win the round in maybe less than 15 minutes. (All flags capped)

And we, the losers on the MEC team actually did shoot back and did put up a defence, but his attacks were so rapidly, focused and well coordinated that we didn’t get any chance to put up a useful defence nor an attack for that matter.
We were simply high-speed annihilated if we stood ground in a flag zone. Our troops between the flag zones were in general attacked after the US capped the very flag zones they were positioned between. Sometimes they were attacked from above simultaneously with flags being capped!

I my self has never experienced The US air mobility used to such a full extend, either before or after that very round. And I do have experienced a thing or two in Project reality so far.

It seemed that we were hit in the front, the centre and the rear at the same time. We probably wasn't, but that was how u felt it in that round. (Being on the MEC team)

Define irony. A bunch of guys playing PR year after year. A game teaching initiative as the prime mover.
However, in regard to EA, these guys never took the initiative.

Okay ive just been on ptg server and i had a nice game with a few players

Name:claodiopolez- nice chap good player and has a laugh about the new choppers
Name:inside asylum- same a nice chap who knows how to play
Name:commlynchplayer- a good squad leader who is open to suggestions, and knows how to keep a sqaud together, also a god send when it comes to placing those spawn points in the right place, our own squad m8s couldnt find the damn thing in the jungle.

also a crucial point THEY ALL HAD VOIP, so we could communicate

also i would like to mention a player who i didn't put on before and that was TOPCAT- he knows how to lead and was in the right places at the right time, and was direct about what he wanted to happen.

and there where a few others in our squad who were good but i cant remember thier names. sorry :o ops:

Name:Rifleman D
Talent:SL thats about it.
I was playing with this guy and he was an awesome SL he knows where to go and keep his sqaud safe I really feel that he has the best interests in mind for his squad like not leading them to there deaths everytime he is in combat. He isn't doesn't rack up like a lot of points but man can he sure play a good SL and he seems to be a good player both smart and decent. Can really place a humvee well and knows some cool spots on some maps. Keep doing it man.
