This poll is here to get a sense of VOIP usage in PR.

I see a poll and a spoon, dunno what y'all are on about.

3rd option for me. I listen but don't have a mic. If my PC was in my room i'd probably get one. That and there's alot of interference/noise/mobiles and phones going off where i am so it would hamper the squad with my noisyness.

Fuzz 'ead, i fixed the VOIP. I can hear things now. :D

Use it all the time, not as fun without it, and it's frustrating being in squads that don't use it!

If you don't use VOIP then you shouldn't play PR. :)

If you don't have a mic, STEAL ONE!

Carry on...

Thats exactly how it sounds too. LOL. The bonus is they're ultra polite and laid back, so when they get frustrated it's a weird balance of shouting "DAHHNGG!" followed by a large, audible sigh "This gUYY, he keeps on keelin me but...(pause) gosh (pause)...he's good you boys be careful"

The same situation to anyone else (besides the UK), it's a flurry of explitives and audible desk-pounding.

You can get a basic headest mic (mono earpiece with noise cancelling mic from logitech - just don't use the earphone bit) for a fiver most places now. Luckily I live on my own and a poundshop mic and decent headphones works for me :)

Trust me. Americans are more polite than us. Brit humour/general talk is very dark, to those who don't undestand it it comes off as polite.

I voted for the second one. It's not that I don't like the communication, it's just that sometimes I can't(when people are asleep or when my brother is doing homework).
Thanks luizinhuu for the find

My vote "I have VOIP disbled in the options"
I use Ventrilo with my compadres, we are for the most in the same squad.
I am so used to Ventrilo,TS when we play [PR]Tour. . . .
A custom setting for me, so . . . . but voip ingame is a great option!

Bear in mind that there is a big difference between using the in-game VOIP and Teamspeak/Ventrillo. I think that should have been part of the poll, but a bit late now, of course.

I might suggest that external VOIP could be classed as an exploit, since it can be used to break chain of command/squad boundaries imposed by the game, but I value keeping my head on my shoulders :-P

how the hell do you not have a mic, there like 2 bucks and like all computer makers just give you one. and i dont see why people say they can hear people pounding there desks and stuff, i never hear it, what kind of wierdo holds down the talk button so others can hear him try to break his desk.

im not going to lie, i often flip out as i am generally negative person. i dont really pound my desk as it does no good because its fucking massive and solid oak and will just destroy your hand, but i will sometimes bite my mic as hard as i can, so the front is all full of bite marks. looks like a dog attacked it, its pretty bad.
if some1 is holding down there talk button while they are flipping out be like, dude dont hold down your mic button while you flip out. but fo sure dont disable it, its a pain in the *** when i tell somebody to do something and they dont have VOIP on, it usually results in a kick from the squad or being shot in the face.

I use it from time to time. When I notice I'm the only one in the squad that has a microphone I won't bother to use it. Or when I play at night I can't use it.
