Well, most girls like to on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about random stupid shit. So just get her on the phone and let her ramble. Whenever she pauses just say "yea", or "uh-huh" or anything like that. You can still play PR, and all your attention will be on the game, but your GF will think you're listening to her. All is well.

one time i didnt call my girlfriend (different one from before) to play unreal tournament 1999 with one of my friends. this was funny because the year previous, she had a huge crush on the friend that i blew her off for, and he did the same thing -- he flaked on her to play unreal tournament with me. and that was seriously when they stopped being friends. they got in a huge fight and stopped being friends with each other. so when i told her that i did the exact same thing he did, she freaked out. it was hilarious.

Not knowing she's with someone who thinks so low of her behind her back is certainly hurtful, in what she might endure for the sake of a lie, or in what comes when the truth is finally revealed.

Don't want to put too much of a damper on things, but ya, I'm glad some other people saw what I meant when I said this was degrading to women.

At the very least, I hope that these people will yet outgrow such attitudes, or that the commitments they've made are a little less substantial or emotionally-involved as they'd like to think. But I also have a feeling that many of the people who say these things are only claiming to have significant others.

Anyways, to answer a question, yes, my girlfriend does know I'm playing a game while we talk on Xfire (since Xfire has a feature that tells you what game your buddies are playing; I can even see when she's playing solitaire).

Well im back to drop my opinion in this thread again. I cant believe it got this far!! But yeah my girl is ok with me playing games and she plays games too. Boring games tho like final fantasy and kingdom hearts(she dont do PC gaming). So she understands that its just that i cant tell her that i dont wanna talk cause of games it juts wouldnt sound right so i make something up. I dont think this takes to much thinking at all. Girls will be girls and guys just wanna be guys. I think that most guys are more simple b/c you dont see us getting all mad when they blow us off(at least not me if she blows me off i just say ok and do something else) where as girls get all mad and begin to think things. So be careful when you think all these crazy plans to get the female off your back will work, just keep it simple and easy.

dam..... get her into xbox.... dam.. i had a marine in halo 2 [she was a women with a shotty] but get the women in because some of the women i have played were BEAST!!!!! im not kidding it took 10 ppl for us to kill her. i mean we came at her from behind. and she shot 9 of us w.o using a grenade.. i got lucky.... but having women playing halo is SO SWEET....

trust me, dont get em mad... they will pwn your balls.....

Yeah definatly one of the best points made. Also some of you guys need to stop being so damned PC, I don't think comments like spunk in her hair and stuff are taken seriously (though just last week I accidently did).

Very true, when RTCW was big I used to paly on this server called the Happy Penguin server. I was such a regular that when I got on I had about 10-15 other regs say "Hey Keef! What's up" the moment I got on (my old game alias' used to be Keef Haggerd). And the other regs and I had certain classes we would always play, I would usually be medic, one eng, and so on. There was me and this Katz something guy that were always medics and we would always be trying to get the highest score. So at hte ned of matches we would have scores of like 600. Well one night this girl Nurse Jane started playing (and yes she was really a girl) and she was a decent medic, and with time (like less then a month) Katz and I and her were competeing for top medic, within another month she would have a medic score with at least 100+ points higher then me and kat.... at that point we just stopped playing medic (we only really needed her) and just played other classes haha.

I can't belive I almost missed this thread. And not one suggested that you get the g/f hooked on PR. Give her a lousy PC and tell her to be commander. We need more commanders anyway, and with the exception of a few, she could not possibly do any worse.

Just look at the perks.
1) She can boss everybody around
2) She can organize everything

And if she is not pleased, she can grant artillery on their behinds.
