New to PR, awesome Mod! Have a question about Widescreen...

Whats going on guys. I have a question about the PR Mod. I have the extension on the BF2.exe to run @ 1680x1050 (Widescreen), and while playing BF2, the picture is perfect (no stretching of the picture) However, when I click the PR Mod, the resolution will change so there IS stretching of the screen. Doesn't PR run off of the BF2.exe? Or is there a seperate PR.exe that I can not see somewhere, that I can find and edit the extension so it supports widescreen like BF2?

BTW, I try setting up the resolution in-game (under video), but like BF2, the highest resolution still stretches the screen to fit my widescreen monitor.

For reference, my BF2.exe extension looks like this:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

Also I would ask the stupid newb question on how to select a class to fly the jet/helicopter, or drive the tank, but I will do a non-newb thing and read the instructions, or ask in-game on a server

Try adding that to the PR desktop shortcut, it should work.

hmm, I dont think I added the desktop icon on installation, is there a way I can manually retrieve it?

Try adding a shortcut to
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/pr +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

The PR icon is the same as the BF2 one, only with +modPath mods/pr added

VBS script makes shortcuts for all the mods in your folder, with force desktop resolution and auto-login.

I run 1440-900 and have about 9 mods, so this saves a lot of hassle.

Well, if you read the manual, you'll soon find out about the kits you need to use those vehicles. Thanks for making the effort that so few seem to bother with! More importantly, though, please don't learn to fly on a public server, even if you can fly very well in BF2, because you will crash and everyone will get VERY, VERY angry with you ;P

There are instructions on how to practice flying without killing all your teammates.

If you didnt allready know, you can find the icons for PR in 'mods\pr\readme\icons'
Just right click on your shortcut to pr, go to properties, click on Change Icon and browse to the Icon folder and choose your Icon.
