Hello guys !
I've used search and didn't find anything about thing i am going to write about, thou i doubt that it wasn't discussed earlier.
I've played in DoD for quite a long time, when it wasn't on Source and was enjoying me a lot. There MGs got bipods and support positions.
It would be cool to have bipods on MGs makeing recoil smaller. In DoD when u got ur weapon on bipod (2nd fire button) u got very little recoil, but u had very small radius in which u could provide fire support. To have ur weapon unbipoded u had to use 2nd mouse button again and u could then wake up and move. I think that it would be great adition to the game. Yeah, i know smaller recoil for MG is something u can be worried about but... u know... it would work like in DoD... one nade and ... well.. this guy with bipoded weapon won't have much time to debipod weapon and runaway ;>

And support positions - in DoD barrels, big rocks, windows where such position where u could deploy bipod and cover certain area... in PR i find crates that are barely usefull.... yeah it can cover u for a while.. but most player rather are proning under fire then crouching... So i would be cool to see support gunners standing behind crate with weapon bipoded and covering street....

As far as I'm aware, the BF2 engine cannont support deployable bipods in the way you describe.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Damn it.... i love that engine :/
Bipod can be made by just another weapon model loaded off screen...when u're proning....right?
And i assume that u say about support positions... that sucks.

well wat we can do is have a second support gun (2 button) that only works while laying down and is very accurate and stuff like that but we need to get them both to share ammo (which i dont know if its possible)

What if support could deploy there MG, like turn it into one of the MGs in the bunkers so that the entire team could use it and it could be deployed anywhere.

Please check this out mate, i think that it would be great adition... i got this idea when i saw last time i've been playing marine boat with standing marine on front shooting from mg....it would be quite usefull....

someting like that was done in FH for bf42 with the firemodes

Yeah but this one was on BF1942 engine... I wonder will they make it in FH2 it would mean that there is way on BF2 engine...
